Good question, I'd have to say Abbey Road or Sgt. Pepper, possibly Revolver.

well aside from the Cyrkle being my guilty pleasure when it comes to pop, i would have to put Harry Nillson's Nillson Schmilson up on the list.

Brian Eno's Here Come the Warm Jets is my favorite, but Pet Sounds is probably the greatest.

An early Elton John album comes to mind when thinking of great pop albums.. Too hard to make any definitive choices, though.

'Pet Sounds' is a very good candidate.
I would say that this is also a good candidate for the best pop album of all time.
Ironically;when released in november 1967 it didn't even manage to get into the Billboard Top 100 LP Chart:

That was the case for many great albums of the time... The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Mothers, Pink Floyd's debut all had the same problem.
