Hello everyone, I am new to this whole hipforum thing, and interesting in learning more about hippies. I am 16 years and have 10 brothers and sisters. My one older sister would always make fun of my extreme political views and belief that if we all work together that we can acheived world peace. She would always say to me "what are you? a hippy?" then .. learning more about the hippies in history class I went home and said.. "you are exactly right". And thats my story!! <333
Good for you sweetie!! Although do try to be comfatable in your own skin with out feeling the need to wear a lable. No one has the right to catagorise us and place us into little boxes of who they think we are and the socail group they believe we most suit. Not that being a hippy is something to be ashamed of, I'm one! Just, I prefer not to conform to other peoples ideals and perseptoins of who they think I am. As someone just reasently said, but I can not for my life remember who, I perfer the lable "human be-ing" So be a free spirit, be indervidual and most of all be happy in your own skin.
