As the fog lifted and clarity fell upon the scenery I saw the mountain that lay before me. I approached the forbidden and soon realized that the mountain normally composed of earth and rocks was composed entirely of dry, white, empty human skulls. As I wretched the contents of my stomach into a nearby clump of bushes I saw a babbling brook and I went to relieve my parched throat and alleviate my cold sweat. The beauty of the clear, pristine creek was beyond words and caused my heart to bleed with a greater intensity than it ever had before or ever would again. I fell to my knees on its banks, the horror previously witnessed erased forever by the beauty of this place, and drank deeply of the cool, clean water. As my reflection stared at me, I smiled for I was content at last and consequently the water turned red and became a frothing mass of boiling blood. I had drunk deeply of the blood of the forsaken and was ashamed. Paralyzed I stood, covered in human blood, as corpses rose from the sacred ground. As a creature reached out his decaying arm towards me the smell of death reached my nostrils and I ran. I fell at the base of the mountain because I was tripped by a detached, decaying leg. Looking up I saw into the eyes of terror for I was looking into my own eyes. As the eyes winked at my scared and terror filled soul a deep, maniacal laugh reverberated off of the skulls of the mountain. Every skull the sound touched was soon spurting blood from its empty eye sockets. This occurred as I lay dying. ------------------------------------------------------- What do you alls think?
Hey all - Mystic - I think that's the best compliment I've ever received for anything I've written thanks. White Scorpion - I didn't really think of this as an introduction but more of a complete piece for I don't really write long pieces. I am interested in what you think could be devolped. I could expand on the whole thing. As in more detail of the mountain, longer time spent in the oasis and again more detail of the horror. Lizaradman - There really is not supposed to be a reason.
