For my senior prom I wore one nearly like it, except it was teal and I bought it at the thrift store for 3.50. Plus it had some rhinestones around where the hole is...

3.50 and it was the best dress I've ever wore...

well, it will carry over to formal dances after high school, with or without modification.
That's not a bad thing at all.
I hope the fabric is comfy for you.
having a classic black dress is a good idea if you ever get stuck attending work holiday parties, most weddings (i'd get a modest wrap for funerals, tho)
Maybe convert it to tea length later?
It does look better than what I had: this greco-roman tunic/toga cross with an oh so 80s lace cape. In white, because its all the store had for $50.
I had it commandeered by a drag queen frined a few years later.

Its an okay dress. but its your night babe, so our opinions dont count. I think perhaps most peeps on here would love it more if it had bell sleeves and was made out of patchworked cheesecloth and corduroy.

    Sorry babe
