How do you feel about the fact that men can date younger women and that's fine but a

woman dating a younger guy gets laughed at or judged. I mean if a guy dates a woman 15 years younger than that's ok but a woman dates a man 10 years younger than she's paying for it or he's her boy toy. We live longer and I always have to hear that crap about how we age faster. (The word was develope mentally and physically fasters as teens but once we hit 20 then it's just our minds that are more superior and men get so old so fast lol .)

it's not really fine, though. people still mock the poor sap who's not grown up enough to be over the trophy girl fixation. it looks ridiculous and we all make fun of it. now if it's a serious relationship, we may all get over it eventually, but it still makes people go "WTF! midlife crisis bob? what's with robbing the cradle and dating infants?" the guy just doesn't care because he's porking a toddler. women are supposed to be more emotionally mature and stable, not as wrapped up in the sex side of things. when they are, our mother image gets all icky.

 

I had the personal experience awhile back of being interested in a man 12 yrs. my junior...boy, did I get flack for that...and I still get teased about it. It pisses the hell out me to this day. One of the guys that teased me about it was interested in a girl, also 12 yrs. his junior, and that was OK, obviously (obviously, to him, I mean)...I hate that double standard...grrrrr....

 

That double standard is very annoying. It's true, a lot of people look at the older guy - younger woman thing and roll their eyes thinking "mid-life crisis" but I bet that guy is also getting a lot of high-fives at the club from all his buddies, too! I don't see anything wrong with a woman having a younger man Find yourself someone you love, and who loves you back, and tell everyone else to mind their business! lol my high school guidance counsellor was 15 years older than her husband, and they were happy as clams.

 

well, of course he's getting high fives. the only reason women don't is becuase so many WOMEN are so hung up on the sex issue. do you have any idea how many times i've overheard the fantasy of younger men for older women? between my older brothers and all their buddies, not to mention all my boyfriends, it's pretty common. but women really give each other a ratino of shit for it. men their own age will probably give them a ration, too. but then, women do that to men as well. it's pretty much equal on the bad behavior scale.

 

I couldn't care less. If I decided to date someone younger than me (which would be quite weird seeing as I am really young myself) I wouldn't give a rats ass about what anyone else thinks. Sure people talk, and there may be a double standard, but when has that stopped me before?

Its a huge double standard with sex itself. Guys haev sex, it's cool, girls have sex, unlesss its in a serious long term relationship, she's a whore. Doesn't mean I quit having sex!!!

Ugh that's so annoying, we were just talking about that in my gender class. A guy goes out one night and sleeps with two different girls - he's a HERO to his buddies, a total stud. A girl goes out one night and sleeps with two different guys and she's a total slut - according to girls AND guys. Sheesh.

 

so what? I used to care, but not anymore! Anyone who has the guts to call me a slut to my face for enjoying sex will get a 2 minutes speech about why I love sex and why I'm allowed to!

Anyone that doesn't have the balls to say it to my face isn't worth my peace of mind anyway

 

yeah, i've dated younger guys before. and people gave me a boatload of shit for it. 'mrs robinson'. and the guy was six years younger than me, big fucking deal. i was 26 and he was (almost) twenty. we dated for a little over a year. it was a serious relationship, and people sneering and laughing really ticked both of us off. after that i had a couple of other younger boyfriends. like other people have said, fuck 'em. but i DO hate the double standard, and also the 'woman become hags but men become distinguished' bullshit.

my boyfriend is 18, he's 16... we could care less though... we both care for each other so much, that its like fuck anyone who doesnt like it, we are having a great time, and we've changed each other's lives... and thats all that matters.

 

I can't see why there should be any problem in any case male or female or whatever the age, if the two people want each other then that's all that matters... I went out with a woman 12 years older than me 4/5 years ago, it never bothered me... I don't think she got much hassel from it, although I was never really entirely sure. I tend to find I that I go for women either a few years younger or a few years older... never my own age, maybe coincidence, but I think I just don't really take to my own generation so well for some reason.

 

I think that some men are under the impression that they are forever young and that only the women get older. Guys that marry younger and younger women for example,t have this idea that the ladies they are with are old but that they never age. Emotionally women age faster but not physically. (Look at some of those actors, would you?) ((((SHEESH))))

LOL, have you guys not heard about Demi Moore? It happens, it just isn't such a big deal. Because in general women don't need to show off. Not only that but women really do mature faster than men. Therefore they are sometimes attracted to older men.

I would not date a younger man again. I personally perfer older men. I mean my boyfriend is 28 and he still isn't on my maturity level. And there really are different stages in life that people go through. Age doesn't matter to an extent, but in some cases it can make a world of difference.

I think older men...and I mean older now, my age group and above, kinda look like jack asses to me when they are running around with girls they could have fathered. Eye candy that isn't a mental challenge. Most of my friends are 20 somethings but I want someone who I can relate to on an equal level which means having alot more life experience than that age group. I did get involved 4yrs back with a 24yr old. It was fun but it was never a serious relationship other than friendship and one dip at that end a the gene pool was enough for me not to wanna do it again. I seem to attract men 5-10yrs my junior these days since most a the men my age either got old, or are chasing the lil girls. Been talking to a beautiful man thats 8 1/2yrs my junior actually.

 

I don't know about that. Some of my best encounters have been with women 5 years older than me.

 

what about a 20 year old girl dating a 15 year old boy?

she's 20, he's 15. he can't drive, drink, he's still in grade 10 and she's in uni. he's never had a job, he's still learning basic geometry, he's a little kid!!
