sonic youth was a good band

listen to them..not many people have

 

especially evol, sister, daydream nation, and bad moon rising.....

seeing them on the goo tour still stands as one of the best shows I've seen

 

they're still a band, i do believe.

 

I have listened to them, and I didn't like them. In fact, I hated them completely. I even could go as far as saying they suck dog ass, but that might offend someone.

 

It would actually offend me if you liked them, since everyone is aware of your awful taste.

 

ive listend to em... and theyre pretty good... and yeah, theyre still a band.

 

To you, perhaps I do have awful taste. But do I give a flying fuck? Nope. Why? Because you don't matter to me, or my music preference. I like what I like for my reasons that I don't feel obligated to explain. In other words, go fuck yourself, because I don't care.

 

Daydream Nation still hasn't grown on me yet, i've been sleeping to it though.

 

I LOVE Sonic Youth! Evol, Washing Machine, and Daydream Nation are amazing

 

If you don't like sonic youth than you probably have a shitty taste in music that doesn't go past mainstream. In other words, you're to narrow minded to appreciate music that is different and actually talented, as opposed to the BS rock that gets over played on MTV.

Sonic Youth is very good, especially Day Dream Nation. You need to listen to them multiple times to understand them because there is so much going on in their music, more so than mainstream. If someone says they suck, your ears just haven't gotten used to talented music and thus, most of the best music will be to overwelming at first, compared to a greenday or the used. I mean, you listen to greenday once and hear all their is to hear. but as far as SY, I am still hearing new subtle parts 50 times in.

That sounds similar to my music rant, haha ^

 

So because I can't stand sonic youth, ( so much talent there.... ) that means I have bad taste in music? I'm sorry, but they flat out suck. That's my opinion. Nobody here agrees with my taste in music and personally I think its rather sad that I can be judged by saying that I hate sonic youth.

 

well, i am just trying to see if you are open to difffernt music, obviously not. you give no reasons for saying they suck.

 

Besides, its kind of hard to be around for over 20 years and suck too, in fact, it's impossible. SY is doing something right, that most pop bands today fail to do, stick around. So no, they don't suck.

innovative does not equal suck either.
