good makes are: premier, tama, pearl. I've got a Premier Olympic kit it was £300. Its a great starting kit with good drums and cymbals, and its good enough to use at gigs. The only thing I replaced was the bass drum pedal cos its hopeless when playing faster stuff.

    Hope this helps!!!

Any drumset will work fine for you if you're just starting out; even a cheap no-name drumset can sound good with new heads and careful tuning. Try local classifieds, music stores, pawn shops or Craigslist before hitting Ebay-- it's nice to see (and hear) what you're buying before you drop a bundle of cash...

Find a local shop. If you don't have much knowledge in instruments, I wouldn't try ebay.
