Has anyone else noticed the resurgence of milk floats... when I was a boy they were everywhere, then they all suddenly disappeared for about 15 years, and now they are all over the place again.

Or are they just following ME:eek:

When I was a kid, I witnessed someone get plowed down by a milk float. Sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Poor guy had to have a new hip at 12 years old.

It just showed me that whenever you try to get pulled along by said transport on a skateboard, it's bound to end in tears.

ahhh, i love milk floats! my mum was a milkman and used to take us out on her rounds on a saturday.

when i was about 10 our milkman used to take me to on his rounds with him and let me help deliver the milk and i would get a pound which was alot of money to a 10 year old!

    ahh happy days!

but to answer showmets question - i dont think they dissappeared and came back. i think you just stopped seeing so much of the morning. i am very rarely out of bed before midday and therefore havent seen a milk float in years, apart from the occasional one one the way home from a very late night out!

    peace and love

no - she just delivered milk and kept getting in trouble with the police for leaving her lights on main beam.

Okay me and Moominpappa are so old that we remember seeing horse drawn milk wagons:& ........and the novelty of seeing the first milk float.
