After working in an amusement park for two summers... they just don't feel the same anymore. But I still love rollercoasters and bumber cars!
I like some of the rides. And carnival rides scare me, they always feel like they're about to collapse. I usually ride them anyway though.
I love amusement parks, granted like you said when they are not crowded.. But I use to be sooo scared of rollercoasters until I actually got the balls to ride one and then I loved them. I was actually embarrassed that I waited to long to ride one and was scared before i even tried it. But now i love'em and its been a while since ive been... But I hate going when its crowded the longest I waited in line was over 4 hours ( i know, i know i cant believe i actually waited that long either )
i like the rollercoasters and all of the other rides, i just dont like seeing that many people at once.
I love them for the rides; I just ignore the people. I do like to go on quiet days though, since I usually go alone (I'm a loner, not lonely but prefer doing stuff alone, even if it's among thousands of people) it's a bit boring to stand in line for hours... that, I think, is a waste of money; waiting in line for an hour for each ride, and only trying out 6 rides or so in the entire day... But on quiet days it's a blast & well worth the money!
I LOVE amusment parks!! I love all of it. Except for the merry-go-round. I can handle any roller coaster there is, but the feeling of going up and down while going around at the same time never fails to make me nausous.
six flags new england is an unsafe park, thats the one where that guy was upside down in the rollercoaster and fell off and died. i was on Ship Wreck Falls once with my friend(its like a water ride) and the ride got stuck at the top. we were so high up and we had to wait for the longest time to get down. these guys climbed up with a ladder and had to practically carry us down. it took even longer cause this girl was freaking out thinking she was going to die. anyways i got a special pass that allowed me to cut all the lines for the rides for the rest of the day. it was great and well worth it
Top Thrill Dragster is the newest record breaking rollarcoaster...Millenium Force is old news... Anyway. I can't ride rollarcoasters. I have severe motion sickness and I can't even ride in a car for a significant amount of time without feeling like I'm going to puke. I wish I could ride them. I can ride a few at Cedar Point, but not many. Sometimes I feel left out when my friends go and I just have to hold stuff for them while they ride. What a drag...
As long as the park isn't crowded, I enjoy it and find them entertaining. I love Roller Coasters - I could ride them all day. The faster the better.
I used to love rides when I was a kid, Valleyfair is near where I live. Something happened when I hit puberty, because now I can't ride anything other than water rides without getting sick. It's the weirdest thing, has anyone else heard of something like this? Alex
