I only did this once that I remember. It was on my third or fourth trip. We were outside, because some of the trippers wanted to cop some crystal to hit. I had dropped a blue flat, and once I looked up and saw the amazing patterns in the sky, I decided what the hell and dropped the other one. Later, we sat around with no light except for a celestial ballremember those? One guy started rapping about how they were originally designed to go on top of a Christmas tree and went off on a tangent from there, until he stopped himself and said, "Wait a minuteI never had a Christmas like this!" On the trip either right before or right after that one, one of the guys was "up for" his draft physical in the morning, so we all piled into a VW bug with wipers that didn't work. I was in the back seat, and all I could see were bright red diamonds all over the windshield. I think that was also the time that, after we got back, a quarter-pound of black hash had arrived, so we passed around a pipe that just barely held the huge chunk (3 g. or so?) and coughed our brains out. Then we each grabbed a mattress and watched the Banana Splits. Speaking of mattresses, the freakiest car I was ever in was a silver Saab with a driver's seat and a mattress!
Ever try bubble tripping? Tripping hard-core and blowin' 2 ft soap bubbles 'til dawn? It's a major experience. Bubble Whooshers & bubbling the agro out of Agro Camp, but when we got to Milliways, the Gathering was closed...but we had the bubbles...and it was reopened in honor of the 'soup', but it wasn't the soup you eat, it was the soup you blow bubbles with, which wound up forming the amazing lazer bubble show(but it was all a conspiracy...a conspiracy to kill the hippie mace); and we were the escapees of the Cartoon Castle at the top of the hill. Ahh, memories(PA National '99, strange but true) ***need translation? just ask!***
I used to blow smoke bubbles. The smoke seems to "cure" the membrane so the bubbles can get bigger and last longer, and when they do pop, you get a bonus! I think the monster bubble rings were invented later.
Smoke bubbles are good. Better still are smoke bubbles inside of a regular bubble, We make our own moster bubble blowers with string, a ring, & a dowell rod. Ever tryed to make square bubbles? It's physics, it's math. it's cool. (but you can't make them east of the Mississippi, land of the missin' hippie; hee, hee)
So Many Trips So Many Stories!!!!!!! The best time was back in the liquid LSD days I was 17 or 18 and we were staying at the Freedom Farm part time and in Rosarito Mexico the rest of the time and we took a day trip to Anahiem CA and tripped at Disneyland. All we could do was stand in lines, watching people melt and laughing our asses off. Then a few years later purple micro dot hit the scene and my brother and I went to several Haunted houses around Halloween. But the best trips were in the middle of the woods and canoeing. Ahh, the days of the "perma-grin"
I wasn't even HIGH when I first "Tripped" because of 3 feet of Virgin Snow in a full moon! Now, I wish I had been! I lived with my older sister, who turned me on to John Denver! I'd have put on one of his albums, smoked a bowl, and just gazed out that window until the SUN came up and enjoyed THAT too!
I recall doing some fresh orange sunshine from San-Francisco that was contained in several dots on a letter from my friends sister when I was a soldier in Vietnam. Than being ordered out on patrol about 45 minutes later looking for trouble. Now that was a trip...
Now that I think about it. It really turned out to be a peaceful day. After lunch, that for me, would most likely be canned fruit,Cambells Pork & Beans and Kool-Aid. We went swiming in the river when we saw some caribou [waterbuffalo] bathing near by. I remember myself and several friends climbing on them and diving off several times and swiming for about 20 minutes to cool off. The temperature often got to 110' with humidity levels in the upper 90% range. We walked for about 20 clicks or about 12 miles and as it got dark in the late afternoon we were picked up my several UH-1D helicopters and flew the friendly skies back to our base called Camp Eagle. All that happened on my 19th birthday during July 20th 1969. I had just turned 19,then three men launded on the moon,I was going home in two or three weeks. And little did I know at the time, but, in about four weeks. I will be sitting on Max Yazgars diary farm in Sullivan County New York with countless others attending an event that defined a generation.
Of all the times I tripped, I only did sunshine once, but what a trip! There was a carnival in town, and two of the carnies were heads, so they gave us a really good ride on the Zipper and the Round-Up. The Zipper is pretty tame, the way it's usually run, but we got our car to flip completely around several times! A chick that was tripping with us went on the Ferris wheel and barfed!
There's a better rap on the bubble trip in the Hippie Babble thread but a strange one was sitting up all nite watching the 2000 elections. Those TV dudes looked stoneder than us! (not far in reminising but it was weird & amusing)
Iwas with my half-brother in Ohio. Midnight. Must have been 90 degrees with 4000% humidity. But, it was the early 70's, and Parody songs were THE thing that week. Mr. Jaws came on his old ass AM radio. Just my stoned assed reminicence.
ONE I've had the pleasure of is Going to a Kegger, and just counting people. Knowing how many of my friends were there.
Driving home from a show...started snowing those big fat flakes...hard to pay attention to the road and not get caught up watching the flakes coming at the windshield..sometimes it sucks to be the driver, hehe
