Ok guys, I've been doing my homework. I know a tiny teeny bit about the Illuminati, but past that I'm too lazy to find out anything.

Is it mainly an American thing? We have freemasons here but they're mostly harmless and are only there for tradition. At least that's what I've gathered...

Throw some gems at me please. Tell me all you know so I can soak up some knowledge and become paranoid!

Feck offfff, I googled already :p I just wanted to know more. Plus, this way is probably faster and better than all the websites out there.

I saw Pressed Rat's comment in one of the posts, and the avatar is knocking about a fair bit so I thought that some people here might know something.

Freemasonry is not a national fraternity, but rather an international brotherhood that has operated for hundreds, if not thousands of years, and has worked to control and manipulate the masses of the world through various secret socities, which are interconnected with the world banks -- which exist above the government -- who are ultimately the ones pulling the strings, so to speak. They dictate world events such as wars, economic depressions, plagues, famines, etc..

Some of the most powerful people throughout history have been high-ranking members of the Masonic Brotherhood, which feature various levels of initiation (or rites), where upper levels have access to information the lower levels don't. Only the absolute top levels of the masonic pyramid harbor what would be known as the Illuminati. (The Illuminati is symbolized on the US dollar bill, with the truncated pyramid, featuring the all-seeing eye which represents the Illuminati.) The people who make up the upper ranks of Freemasonry have been sworn to secrecy and are devoted to the cause of the brotherhood above everything else, including family, society and God.

Most Masons (probably 98% of them) are wonderful people who live normal, everyday lives. My neighbor is a Mason and he is one of the most normal and respectful people I have met. Not everyone that is a Mason is part of the conspiracy. As a matter of fact, very few know anything about it at all, and would likely laugh in my face if I dared suggest any of this to them. I am sure there are people laughing at me right now as they read this.

But to compare a low-ranking Mason (which is 98% of all Masons) to a high-ranking Mason, would be like comparing a low-level, underpaid government employee to the head of the CIA.

Most Masons never make it past the first three levels, thus are totally unaware of what knowledge the upper levels hold, which is known only to these high-ranking Masons themselves, and the people who have studied Masonry and have gained access to leaked knowledge and writings over the years. (And even these researchers likely don't even know the half of it.)

Only a select few at the upper ranks of the masonic pyramid have access to the secret knowledge of the lluminati and are in on the global conspiracy. Low-level Masons have no clue about the upper levels of Freemasonry, such as the 33 Degree of the Scottish Rite, which is held by very few people in the world. (Most of them also happen to hold very high ranks of power: politically, economically, or both.) Even many of the 33 degree masons aren't privy to the knowledge the Illuminati possess, unless they are so-to-speak "chosen" by one of the elite secret socities in which other chosen, top-level masons operate. An example would be Bill Clinton; a 33 degree Freemason and a Rhodes Scholar. Cecil Rhodes is a high-ranking Freemason with links to secret socities such as Skull & Bones, which both George W. Bush and John Kerry were (and still are) members of.

Most everyday people who join masonic lodges see the organization as sort of a community-oriented fraternity, where people help out each other for the better of society... which for the most part it is. This is simply the front in which this ancient organization has operated over hundreds of years. All secret organizations have fronts, such as they do within our very own government.

It's kind of like how governments are really nothing more than fronts for big, multinational corporations and international bankers, yet most people view them as benevolent entities, who are out to ensure the citizens' safety and protection. They only see what is presented at face value, while much of what truly goes on occurs behind the scenes, out of the public eye, and very high up in terms of rank.

If you trace back the history of Freemasonry, you will see that it has encompassed some of the most powerful people that have ever walked the face of this earth, from presidents (past and present, here and abroad) to world bankers and religious figures. These people can be found at the top of every major institution in the world: political, business, religious, education, etc., and they work within and without the governments of the world to bring about their quest for global control, also known as the New World Order.

Essentially, there are powerful and very wealthy people all across the globe, of every race and nationality, who are bound by this fraternal brotherhood known as Freemasonry, who are all working in part to bring about a world government and religion (Luciferianism).

It might sound crazy to some, but I guarantee if you read into it some more, you would really learn a lot and be shocked at what you're reading.

People like David Icke, Jim Marrs and Jordan Maxwell have written extensively on this topic, and if you're interested, I recommend checking out some of their work.

Or you can just laugh at me and call me a nut, as I am sure many people will do.

i forgot to add this
if you want to learn more about the history and foundations of masonry, its roots....

theres a wonderful book by Margaret C. Jacobs, "Living the Enlightenment: Freemasonry and Politics in Eighteenth Century Europe" that gives a very extensive look at masonic lodges and their significane. its a really intresting book, and there isnt a strong base of assumed knowlege so if you dont know much about this time period you can still read it.

she debunks alot of common misconceptions about masonry and its history. she ties it into the enlightenment and how it was one of the most important social features of the intellectual movement. its worth the read.

I went to Rosslyn Chapel the other week when I went to visit a friend (and fellow forumer), which was built by the Templars in the likeness of King Herod's temple or something. Very odd indeed, a mix of Christian and pagan carvings and stuff. It had a really eerie feel to it.

Pressed Rat, That was a great explanation!

Here are some more facts about the Illuminati you didn't cover. Some of these may only be allegations or rumours. Pressed Rat, you seem to know more than me, so please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these...

• The head of the Illuminati is Satan.
• The Illuminati have no regard for human life and are, what we would consider, evil. (They probably don't consider themselves evil though.)
• The Illuminati read everything that is said about the on the Internet (including this) and even read automatically generated transcripts of every phone call made where their name is spoken. (Allegedly!)
• No member of the Illuminati has ever spoken publicly about the organisation.
• Members cannot discolse anything to outsiders otherwise they face severe punishments (ie worse then death).
• Every war ever started over the past few centuries was planned, and engineered by the Illuminati.
• The Illuminati worship an owl called Molech (or Moloch).
• They thrive on their own superiority, and get a real kick out of displaying Illuminati imagery in prominent public places while the 'stupid' mass public don't even notice it.
• An example of this is the American dollar bill, the plan of the Whitehouse, and various buildings in America which have been designed to look like Owls, or pay homage to Illuminati imagery.
• Another popular Illuminati image is the human eye (representing the Illuminati seeing everything). This, along with other Illuminati imagery crops up in logos everywhere. Many multinational corps are (unsurprisingly) part of the Illuminati.

• The Illuminati's main goal is called the 'New World Order', which basically involves them running the world (which they already do) and killing almost everyone on the planet (which they're working on).
• The Illuminati are seen as the most likely cause for chemtrails (if you don't know about the phenomenon of chemtrails then do a Google search — it's basically planes that fly back and forth all day over all the major cities in the Western world, spraying us with unknown chemicals, which has been happening since the early 90s. They are completely different to contrails which is the normal trail a plane leaves behind as it flies.)
• The Illuminati are also blamed for a whole host of things that are detrimental to the mental and physical health of the mass public. It is said that they are trying to break up families and cause mass depression and chaos so it will be easier to recruit thugs to work for them in the New World Order.
I've read a lot about the Illuminati, but never met anyone who's heard of them in real life. Maybe it's more common knowledge in America? I don't think anyone in the UK knows about them.

As for reading David Icke books... surely he can't be taken seriously? He's most famous for claiming to be Jesus Christ. You can't believe what he says about the Illuminati and disregard what he says about being Jesus! It's all or nothing, surely?

Then again, maybe it's all just a myth? The annoying thing about a myth such as this is that you could never disprove it!
