It's not me who has the problem, I should say...it's Claire. I'm just typing this message because if she typed it, it would look 352e th5s Anyway, we were talking on MSN and suddenly her fn key locked in the mode that changes about nine of the keyboaqrd buttons (on a laptop) to emulate the full-sized PC kjeyboard number pad. I've tried having her restart the PC, hold down the fn key and press F10, and hold down the fn key and press F11...but none of that worked :S. Is it makes any difference, she's using an Advent laptop...which might be why the F10 and F11 things didn't work...since those are the locking keys on my Toshiba, but Advent and Toshiba must set those buttons out differently... Thanks for any help And Claire says "than2s f6r any he3-" too

Don't know if this will help, but try hitting the F11 key just once by itself, that may unlock the FN key.
Oh sorry! I misssed that line. Ok try looking for the unlock button. Pressing the function key again might work.
