People who stink at making conversation are sort of annoying

yeah I met someone a few days ago, who eventually ended up attacking me for 'making it hard to get to know me' but I gotta say part of it is I feel no need to talk continuously to someone I just met, and feel no need to 'hurry up and become the best of friends' so I don't have long conversations with people I just met unless we have some strange, intense, immediate, connection, I don't feel comfortable stating all my feelings and beliefs to strangers, and sometimes not even to people I know well

 

A true conversationalist will be able to make conversation with anyone.........so, time to work your own skills and make conversation.

Time to take a position and decide if you are a leader or a follower,

A follower will allow it to drift and a leader will draw out the other person and make conversation.

 

Here in the forums it's easy to communicate. You have time to think over your answer, even edit it, before you submit it. You don't have to be spontaneous, unlike face to face conversation where you have a matter of seconds to come up with a reply.


People with strong social skills tend to take them for granted and not understand why some of us find making conversation so difficult. Well, there's a reason they're called skills, some of us are good at it and some of us aren't.

 

I was talking about things like aim, not here. If anything I praised people here.

 

You're looking into what I said way to much. I used a relaxed vibe. That is not what I am capable of as far as writing, so chill out man!

I am a positive person and just laugh at people who feel the need to be bitter for no reason. I am comfortable writing in a relaxed, loose way and will not change my style to fit OSFs perfectionist world. Not all of us are English scholars or even want to be, thats why there are editors, let them be the anal ones.

And don't waste your time replying OSF, I won't read what you have to say unless it is kind. If you do reply, It will be good to know it was time wasted on your part, (especially if it is something malicious).

Sorry, this wasn't directed towards you at all SC, just agreeing with you that it is sort of funny afterall. Some people can be so anal and bitter, it is almost pathetic.
