I really like the dark. My eyes are pretty good in lowlight environments and I really like darkness when I'm showering and pissing (don't worry I still make the toilet). I don't understand why.
yeah i like dark shower curtains so its dark inside the shower....ooo i love it. i also like to sit inside with the lights off when its dark and rainy outside and listen to the rain. i feel so much happier when its rainy out than when it is sunny. i also hate waking up to sunlight, i like waking up when its still kinda dark outside.
yeah, I like the dark too. Darkness always puts me in a more contemplative frame of mind, because there are fewer visual distractions.
Darkness is tantamount to the absence of light, the absence of energy. It relates to entropy, the slowing of and exhaustion of all energy. The ultimate calmness, the ultimate peace. Anywhere there is light, there is the thrumming of energy, business. Peace occurs when there is an absence of excitement. Tranquility. When you have a headache, you want to be in a cool, dark place. Coldness also relates to absence of energy. When energy is at its lowest, that would be near or at "absolute zero." Cold. Dead. Stopped. I also like the dark, because I associate darkness with tranquility and peace, and light with heat and hustle and quickness and disturbance and energy. Think about it: when people meditate or do yoga or make love, many times they lower the lights. They would hardly ever increase the lights above what is normally used, but they frequently lower them to below what is normally used. Darkness and peace are interrelated. I hope I have helped to shed some... dark on the subject. -Jeffrey
Come summer time in Alaska 22 hours of sunlight a day will drive me insane. The 22 hours of night during the winter can't be appreciated because you're to busy bitching about the cold.
I like being in the dark when i sleep and get stoned and screw and do relaxing things. I couldnt imagine having 22 hours of dark in the winter. That must be really depressing.
I like nighttime and darkness because it feels like the working world is sleeping, while I contemplate. People must get into some interesting moods in Alaska.
yea here in my room at school we usually have very few lights on, maybe a couple black lights or a lava lamp or something, but thats usually about it...... bright lights hurt my eyes.................
