i want to learn how to play the guitar or banjo

    does anyone no of any non expensive teachers in Edinburgh or East Lothian areas

    You could just teach yourself... I would imagine that a teacher would make it boring.

    Guitar teachers have always been worthless to me. I've always relied on internet forums, people I know online, and my own will and inspirations.

    You should teach yourself man. Its alot more fun, and not a waste of time.
    Some of the best guitar players I know have tought themselves,
    with little or no help.

    yeah i would like to teach myself but wouldnt no where to start becuase i havent done any msic at all should i buy a book to teach myself or wot where would you start if youve never done anything musical

    there's a guitar by morrisons in peirshill called tony mithell. I dont know what he charges, but he's meant to be quite good. my bro got lessons off him untill he started getting them free at high school.
