Is an awesome movie...

I think violent detective film noir is now my favorite movie genre. :H

It's gotta great cast, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, and Elijah Wood as a sadistic killer... what more do you want out of a movie.

 

Have not seen it yet. Is it out in theatres yet? How does it compare to other Tarintino films?

 

It's not really Quentin's film, he just did a few scenes. Robert Rodruiguez and Frank Miller decided to co-direct it because Miller wanted his full input. I still havnt seen it yey, I hope to sometime this week.

I want to see it so bad. I haven't readthe Sin City comics but I have read a lot of other stuff by Frank Miller and he's fuckin' awesome
Did you know that they used the comics for the storyboards?

ya, the dialague was almost word for word from the "graphic novels".

Harmless little Elijah Wood as a "sadistic killer"? Now I gotta see it!

Although, the clip I saw on Jay Leno showed this chick acting all tough, and some dude who needed a car from her, and then they kissed, and their acting was AWFUL. I hope the rest of the movie doesn't have that kind of crappy, unconvincing dialogue...

my firend said it sucked and i trust him cause hes realy into movies he even has his own reveiw site he said the plot sucked and the acting was crapy altho he said mickey was good i dont think im even going to bother seeing it now i though it was going to be awesome

 

The acting, atmosphere, and action were superlative.

The dialogue wasn't bad... it was just stylised.... I could see how it might get on some people nerves, but for detective noir flicks, it fit right in.

Even if you didn't like the dialogue, its still a great movie if you like action flicks.

 

I want to see it but I really can't stand Jessica Alba, she is such a horrible actress.

 

Some parts of it were kind of lame, like at the start when Bruce Willis was talking to his partner, it just seemed too fake, but after that it really picked up though. So, in my opinion, it was a pretty kickass movie

 

Really dug it on the big screen. A real treat.

 

elijah wood will send shivers down your spine and he never says a word.

 

Seen it on Friday in the theater......thought it sucked!!!!! I guess it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

 

Hehe this movie was awesome i went to it this weekend. I mean come on. elijah wood, eating whores and mounting there heads on the wall. That defines the word original.

 

Great movie! As for people thinking dialogue sucked...well, it's just the kind of movie it is. The dialogue is stylized to portray a certain feel. Some of the acting, I'll admit, was bad...like, that chick at the end (she's the actress on that show, Gilmore Girls or whatever)...she's a horrible actress. But the movie, overall, was really well-done. I loved it. Fucking creepy at times...like Elijah Wood eating that woman's hand off...and then being de-limbed and left to the dog...yeah, fucking weird, but great...haha. Oh...hmm...yeah, I guess you shouldn't have read what I just wrote if you haven't seen it yet and plan to...lol...
