I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOOOVE IT!! Now im gonna make my apron pillowcase top.. and then i gotta make a smaller outfit for a lil girl. OOohhh so cuuute!
Thank you!!! I love the color too.. i got that fabric a while ago and i work at hobby lobby which is where i got the fabric and they discontinued it! And i love that color! Its so yummi and sagey I wanna get an embroidery kit and do a lil design around the bottom... I cant wait till i learn how to do patchwork. I think i need a better sewing machine though. Its a piece of crap. I jammed it this morning but thank god i fixed it. The thread i was using was too thick... And tomarrow ill be starting my top. I need more elastic. Oh jeez thats another thing. I was trying to get the damn elastic in the skirt after i sewed the lil hole for it to slide into... but im a dumbass. and that didnt work.. i tried taping it to knitting needles and shoving them in there one by one but that didnt work. So i made the top into the bottom and i put the elastic in before i sewed and i pinned it in place so i didnt sew over it.. and that worked like a charm. Dont make my mistake people! Thanks for the feedback!
Next time you need to insert elastic into something you can attatch a safety pin to one end and use that to put the elastic in... just bunch the fabric around the safety pin and then pull it firward until it pokes out the other end. A little trick I picked up from my friend who is a costumer. kate
Ah where were ya before! I had knitting needles all over the place. I looked like a retard shoving them into the fabric. My kitties had fun playing with the knitting needles
