After much thought i switched from the pills to the ring(i just inserted it today), anybody else on this ? side effects? pro's con's of it?
its a round plastic ring inside you leave for three weeks it sends off birth control hormones in your body , so yeah its a birth control method. So far i like it i've only had it in two days but it is staying in.
I tried the ring for a month and loved it except that my body does not react well to birth control it makes me unbearable to live with apparently my fiance would not let me get another one he said he would rather use condoms for the rest of our lives than go through that again i didn;t notice that i was moody i loved the ring but i love him more good luck i hope it works well for you i loved the fact that i didn't have to remember or maintain anything just put it in and forget about it
I am going tomarrow and am thinking about this ring. So how big is it?? What if it gets lost up there? I mean I KNOW nothing can really get lost up there but I am scared I go to change it and can't find it!! LOL
no i already got info from the place i got it and from some internet site , but i'm asking for first hand experince! So far so good no side effects! well its about the side of a little bracelet, its plastic and bends and you put it in just like a tampon, it places its self against your wall and stays. i tested to see how to take it out and its easy, you just put it in far enough you can't feel it while walking around, but could still feel it if you were to put your fingers in (thats how you take it out) you can have sex while its in place usually no one can feel it, or you can take it out for a max of three hours if it bugs you during sex.. Its just like a diaphram(sp?) except you keep this in place for three weeks. Anyways i wanted first hand experince but from what little i have read about others on it most really like it. I have really bad side effects with the pill/ shot so i really wanted to try this.
I haven't heard anything bad about it myself. My last gyn appointment my practicioner said she used it and loved it. I am going today and I am almost positive I am going to try it. Once you insert does it take 30 days to become effective like the pill?? The size of a bracellet huh? I have tried the "instead" cups and "keepers" instead of tampons and I could feel those the entire time - it was horrible!! I hope this doesnt' have the same effect on me. I will let you guys know soon as she shoule be able to give me a sample today !!
well, my mom's a gyno, and she likes the ring. She gave it to my roommate to try, and she used it for about 4 months or so. My roommate said the only thing that bothered her was that she had some vaginal dryness from it, and one time when she was having sex, it fell out on the guy! She said other than those things though, it's all good, no extra moodiness. It's funny though, because she always kept them in the fridge, so I would open it up, and it's like hmmm.. do I want some milk or a ring? Good luck with it!
haha it only takes 7 days to take effect unlike the pill 30 days. Oh i've tried instead those suck this is much better , i mean i can't feel it at all.
