Alright seriously i need some input

Well my friend ashley wants me to give her my sperm so she and her girlfriend can have a baby, i'm afraid to, she still lives at home but she knows how to take care of children she's been doing it most of her life, she's only 17 and i think thats too young to have a child but at the same time i really want a child but i don't know if i'm ready for that yet or not, things have a tendancy to get really bad fro me when things are going well. is this the beginning of yet another downward spiral where possibly i could end up ruining my own childs life? i need some input, pros and cons of leting my 17 year old lesbian friend and her life partner have my baby

Goddamn, that's a tuffy. Les see, yeah, 17's too young to be goin round havin' kids. An anyways, i'm pretty sure that there's a minimum age fer artificial insemination. Plus, even if ya didn't sex her up yerself, ya might have to pay child support or somethin, since it is technically yer baby. Jus tell her to wait a couple years so that everythin can at least be legal, and if ya'll want to do it then, go on ahead.

You do have to wait until everyone involved are adults.

You said that she is living with her parent(s) yet. You didn't mention all the details but in a way it doesn't matter.

Let's fast forward about 6 months from now. I don't know anything about her family situation but I can bet that her parental beings wouldn't be too thrilled that their underage daughter is becoming a Mom. Now maybe they would be cool with it but maybe not. Sure you could probably prove that it was artificial insemination but who needs that kind of hassle? Besides After she is a full fledged adult it really will be a better experience for her, her partner, her family, you. There won't be as much possibility of negative vibes going around if she is of age. Besides being a Mom is a lifetime commitment. She should enjoy being a teen before she takes on being a Mom. It really does make a difference in a woman's life.

Now let's hit that fast forward again to, say, 4 years from now. She can now enter a legal contract. Like one that if y'all want to would say that she absolves you of liability for the upkeep of your little turkey baster baby. Again, I don't know enough about your relationship to talk very intelligently but I get the feeling that she is a friend but maybe not someone that you want a 18 or so year relationship with. Also she & her partner may feel strongly about them being the ones that everyone thinks of as being parents. As you implied, you donated at the office, your job is done.

So many considerations....

Just weighing all of the questions alone could take the better part of a year.

 

I'm just afraid that if i help bring a life into the world she won't be able to take care of it and my life is way too hectic fro a baby right now, thanx for the input i'll make sure i just tell her no
