Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix

I know, its a tough one!

Who do you think was more influential in the way the guitar is played? I love both, led zeppelin is probably one of my top 3 favorites of all time, but Jimi is just to crazy. Hendrix gets my vote.

 

oh... this is such a difficult one. i love jimmy's guitar with zeppelin, but i've got to go with jimi hendrix. his solo at the beginnning of 'voodoo child' is what got me into rock music.
however, i'd rather listen to a zeppelin album than a hendrix album. but hendrix is definately the better guitarist.

Id have to say Page.

 

Hendrix.....because he was a bit more the showman, though Page was also supremely influential....

 

I gotta say Hendrix baby. Page wanted to be Hendrix man, everyone did. But no one plays like the king.

Page is an amazing guitarist, don't get me wrong, i love Zeppelin. Not too sure 'bout his solo work though,course, it's still good but seems Plant's catchy vocals and Page's wicked guitar playing were meant to go together man.

 

Page is a better writer, Hendrix was a better technical player.

 

Jimi Hendrix was legendary at guitar, but most of his stuff now bores the pants off me. I'd have to say Page

hendrix easily. Page is good, but he didnt release an album quite like are you experienced, one of the best albums around.

 

I like Hendrix more and he is far far better than Page.

If the question was "who do you think is better?" Page shouldn't even be mentioned before hordes of guitarists that were better than him. No matter who you like more of the two, Hendrix is much better.

i'd vote for hendrix, i love zeppelin and all that but i love all hendrix's improvisations when he plays live

 

i vote eric clapton.

 

but really; they're both excellent but i prefer jimmy page personally as i prefer led zeppelin's music to hendrix's. although i haven't heard much of hendrix and i should listen to more.
