Marley's reggae was. besides, reggae is a genre. but it can have religious lyrics, like christian rock.

 

I really like bob marleys tunes but i can never listen to it while stoned. Maybe its better to listen to while sober because you actualy can relate to him better and wish that you were also stoned like he is while singing the song.

But I cannot say that Bobs body belongs in Ethiopia. Sure, Ala Sallasi is considered a Rastafarian god, and was soemwhat of a savior to the Rastafarians, but Bob Marley effected Jamaica more than well really know. I was there a month ago, and a common greeting is "one love." Thats an example of how proud and dedicated the Jamaican people are to the memory of Bob and his music. I guess, from the Rastafarian standpoint, anyone of the religion belongs in the spiritual resting place, its just, he was and is SO important to Jamaica, exhuming him would seem criminal. But Rita would know best, shes a fabulous musician, and Bobs wife. Its just the Jamaicans need his body there as much as they need his music. I dunno, seeing his impact firsthand really opens your eyes to how bloody important he was.

marley got old after a while. still like him as a person, because he was into his music.

i quit smoking about two months ago, same time i quit posting on this site. its not as amusing when your not stoned.

im just into the dedication for music. because like many things in life, weed gets old after a while. but music, music is timeless.

Marley is a great person... musically and just in general.... Mr. Brown is a great song.... not one i really say "hey im stoned and i gotta listen to Mr. Brown" though.... and no marley is not the only reggea i listen to.. i like peter tosh.. and i like dancehall like Buju and Red Rat and Beenie Man

Bob Marley in my eyes, is what I like to call "happy music" cuz when I listen to it I feel happy and relaxed. Esspeccially when high.
