What bags should we pack anyway....

I would rather be like an Egyptian pharoah with my stuffed wife, mistress, and dog next to me for the journey.

That would be awesome, if when I died, everyone close to me was killed so they could be with me in the afterlife.

Plus this would assure me of getting into heaven, as I would have made a human sacrifice.

I shall partake in such journey, with my noble band of douch bags by my side, whistling and singing songs of triumph and gratitude, ending the day with a community bath and orgy amongst my heirem.

None of the for mentioned prophecies even remotely lined up with the Bible. People believed two thousand would be the year based upon the numbers involved. Cult leader, David Koresh, believed that Christ was going to appear in Texas. The Bible states that Christ will return to the Mount of Olives. The Mount of Olives is a hill outside of Jerusalem that directly faces the Temple Mount. It is also stated that Israel (more specifically the Jewish people who do not yet accept the Messiah) will be saved. Has this happened yet? No, it has not. The word itself says that many will assume, yet no one will know the exact hour. The end will not come about until prophecy is fulfilled and prophecy has not yet been completed.

Oh it has always been true, but you have either never heard the proofs of the Bible or refused to listen when someone tried to explain it to you.

It is common for people in our age to dismiss the Bible as "myth and ancient history." It is also politically correct to view Bible believers as closed-minded but the real closed-minded ones are those who neglect to check out for themselves what the Bible is really about (Why I Believe the Bible, Scott Huckaby).

    [IMG][IMG]

"The god of this age(the devil) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
    -II Corinthians 4:4

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."

    -1 COR 1:18 & 19

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

    -1 Timothy 4:3,4

Whats the cut off point for armegeddon? Like if it doesn't happen in the next 50 years, will you be all like, "hey, I wasted a large portion of my life and based many of my decisions on the assumption that a omnipotent being was going to judge me, but he hasn't shown up. Maybe [you think] Revelations was written into the Bible as a scare tactic. Maybe I have accepted a moral system for the proceding years of my life based on no actual individual valuation. And damn, I inhibted or attempted to inhibit the happiness of others around me based on an unverifiable THREAT."

So whens the cut off? 2055? 2105? when? im going to be cryogenically frozen, so i want to know when to tell them to revive me, you know after all of these silly religions die out...

Well Star Trek is way past 2105, and so is a lot of stuff. So that shows that armeggedon can't come until at least 2700 C.E.
