People who write spyware programs or viruses should have their fingers broken I'm kidding, but god damn am I annoyed. My computer is totally fucked with spyware right now. Explorer fails every five minutes or so, I get a zillion pop ups and I don't think there is a program out there that will get rid of the problem. I've tried a half dozen in the past couple of days and nothing works. What kind of asshole writes programs like this to screw up others computers?

like I said, I would never do it as it is indeed rather barbaric, but if the person who did it got caught and the penalty was to have their fingers broken - they probably wouldn't ever do it again. I'm just pretty annoyed by whoever did it. I do a simple search for the origins of a song, click on the site and now my computer is borderline garbage because of it. wtf
Download adawareSE personal from www.lavasoftusa.com. That will get it. It's all I use, and my comp is free of spyware.
that could be part of the problem a lot of suposed spyware removal tools are actually just spyware themselves. do what smallbrown suggested, and make sure the definitions are updated

I would be in favor of a virus that say...wiped out the IRS, or Fox News. (sorry about your machine, though. that sucks.)
I have updated adaware SE from lava soft and it doesn't fix the problem. I also have Spybot search and destroy and it doesn't fix it, neither does McCaffee.
i got rid of it for the most part but i still have to delete a few more things before it's gone hopefully for good. i got it from an email.
unplug your internet connection, run a full system scan, then see if its gone...a lot of the spyware needs to be connected to the net to work...same with worm viruses. Also go to your control panel and uninstall anything you dont recognize...such as mywebsearch bar...or myscreensavers...shit like that, its all spyware.

I didn't vote because honestly man i don't avdocate violence but those ppl should be stopped. It's so wrong to fuck with people! it makes me so upset when i have to reformat or some shit.
even with ad-aware and spybot search and destroy i still get mauled. gotta try to control my raging porn addiction i suppose. humph.
