So i been using spybot S&D and yahoo anti-spy and I cant get 2 things off my computer... when i try to remove them it says they are in use... does anyone have any ideas? I tried restarting my computer and running it before the computer started, but that did not work either... a while ago i think i remmeber some command that would let you remove any file from your computer... like shift and delete or something like that... what can i do? the spyware is huntbar and a stupid f*cking search thing.
Download Pskill from http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/pskill.shtml. That'll allow you to kill the running process. Then find and locate the program that's causing the problem (you can use http://www.webattack.com/get/activeports.shtml to show you a list of open ports and the executable that's running them). Delete the program, remove any registry keys relating to it, and reboot.
Waste of time, simply restart and schedule sypbot to run on startup. much easier, and if the "2 things" run on start up just give me remote access :>
Ctrl-Atlt-Del, close the programs that are said to be running, and then run the spy remover, or search for them and delete them manually.
I stole sunbelt software counterspy from the internet and it works better than ad_aware and/or spybot ever did. It also does alot to block it from even getting on. Along with Firefox and a few other things, I haven't had anything get on in a long time and I go to more porn sites than anyone else here could possibly imagine so I know they work.
Tried t hat, didnt work. Tried that and the processes come back on. I just said fuck it and reformatted my windows partition, no biggy. Anyone know where I can find out who made Huntbar, track them down, rip their nuts off and feed them to mah pirahnas.
