Plant an American Chestnut Tree today!

    Hey guys,

    Did you know that due to past diseases the American Chestnut tree is almost extinct? If you can manage to get your hands on one, plant it to help preserve the species.

    I thought they already were fully extinct save for hybrids? :confused:

    Actually there are still American Chestnut trees that grow in the wild, however due to the presence of Chestnut Blight, they rerely reach three feet tall. They were once in great numbers across America. Now I do believe that work is being done in order to create certain disease resistant cultivars of this species.
