Okay so I've been reading lots of trip reports on Erowid about Salvia Divinorum and Datura. Thing is; if you look to Datura's trip, much of 'em seem to contain darkness / scary shits / well everything to make you feel like wanna die. If you look up to Salvia Divinorum, much of 'em seem to contain colors / good times / everything to make you feel happy.

I am not a scientist but it makes no senses to me. Maybe Datura scare the hell out of people because of all the bad reputation that has been giving to it because kids consume it not in the proper way so because it's a dangerous plant they die. But for someone that knows that, he's gonna be nervous, he'll have the given trip BUT because he was scared he would be having a bad trips? Because it says that in the past they used it in ritual and the could feel like morphing into animals and shits like that, it's not like what I've read on the trip report on Erowid.

Is there is a scientist's reason that explain why it will makes trip different like this?

I already got 2 Datura's plant, I'm looking for someone to give me salvia divinorum seeds, I know it's hard to grow'em but I got the perfect place to make them grow in my 15 huges green houses lol.

I would hardly call it "everything to make you feel happy." Salvia is a meditative and/or spiritual entheogen, not a marijuana alternative. You can read up on it all you want, but you haven't experienced the real thing yet, so don't judge it based on what you read. I've found many times that coming up with the right words to describe the experience is just impossible, that I can't even come up with an accurate description. It's much more intense, and there are MANY people (more people than not, I'd think) who say that Salvia divinorum is scary and/or dark. I mean, the first time I tried it, I was scared for my life ...

Also, it doesn't make you feel "good" in the same cover-up-ish way that marijuana would, it tends to make people feel "good" because they realized something mentally, or feel mentally refreshed. The experiences rarely make me feel good physically; most of the time, it blows my mind, and then gives me things to think about.

Trips on Erowid are usually more modern, and the spiritual and/or ethnic associations differ with every time period and culture. What may be morphing into animals for one culture may be interpreted differently by another.

Also ... trips are usually dependent on your mindset going into the trip, and in the case of Salvia at least, on the surrounding environment. If you are nervous and scared before the experience, chances are you're going to continue to be nervous and scared during the experience. If you are very happy or in a really thoughtful mood, you're more likely to have a more complementing experience.

Studies have shown that Salvia divinorum seeds are rarely even produced on Salvia plants, and when they are, they very rarely ever grow, even if put in the perfect conditions. I never found out exactly why, but ... regardless, Salvia divinorum propagates by "cuttings," or stems that have fallen off or are cut off the main stem, and then take root next to the plant (or wherever moved to).

It really pains me to hear everyone says that datura is scary, I mean everytime you take a drug, it's dangerous. People just did not pay attention and died from this... It's not the first drug to kill. Just be carefull you know... it's always the same, Datura have just more chance to get you if you let her trick you.

I've tried both datura, belladonna, scopolia and henbane. I wouldn't recomend any of them. I've never done so large doses that I've tripped on it because the side effects of the doses I've tried were so uncomfortable/painful that I didn't want more of it. You wouldn't belive how painful it is to eat or drink when you have no saliva, your pupils are so dilated you can't go outside until dark and your skin feels like paper. The feeling in your body is heavy like morfine or heroin. That's on low doses. I have no wish to tripp for three days and not remember a thing. Pluss the fact that you need a person to watch over you so you don't hurt yourself. Datura is a dangerous drug and you are balancing on the edge of overdose if you tripp on it.

I have found salvia to be cruelly honest, it makes you see your true self, which can be uncomfortable/unsettling.

I've tried datura in a tea on low dose and maybe she loved me because I just felt a high like I've smoked a pot joint and about 3 hours later I've felt deeply asleep with normal dream wich feel pretty normal vivid dreams to me.

Demonslayer: What was the belladonna like? If I remember correctly, you're supposed to trip for like 2 days straight, and somehow most people don't realize that they're even tripping to begin with. Was that true for you?

And ... cruelly honest, that does sound like Salvia. =)

You can't tell the difference between datura and belladonna, it's the same effect, that goes for scopolia too. Henbane contains more scopolamine and gives a "higher" feeling, but basically with the same side effects. The danger supposedly of atropine trips is that you can't differentiate between reality and the hallucinations, I suspect that is because the prolonged trip makes you forget what reality was like.
