if you boil an 1/8 for a while and let it sit for like 3 days, can i expect it to be more potent? i heard a mold forms and thats like, respuring? and if so, cna i just let it chill in there for like a month and get potent ass tea so i gotta take shots out of a coke lid or something? haha thats what i want but yea, i would appreciate replied, thank you guys love peace
I never noticed this, but it might depend on what you put in the tea, like sugar. If you want to make it more potent, mix up some mushroom honey and let it sit for 6-10 days or more. This is a great conservation method. Anyways, I think im gonna have to get some shrooms once again... it's been awhile(Thank god...). ~DubG
TERRIBLE idea. it will, if anything, RUIN your tea. not to mention make it gross to drink. in fact, even boiling the shrooms with REDUCE potency. try this instead: pour -nearly- boiling water over very finely chopped/ground mushrooms and let them steep for 20 minutes with a bag or two of some strong tasting tea like earl grey or something. add honey if you like, it works far better for covering the taste than sugar does. after the 20 minutes or so are up, strain off the solids and consume the liquid over the course of 20-30 minutes. tea hits faster because you don't have to work so hard at digesting it first, so don't drink it all at once or you may end up wishing you hadn't. this may -slightly- lower the potency of your mushrooms (which is only a concern if you paid a lot of money for them) but it will make them FAR easier to get down without retching, and it makes the onset speed up a bit. do it on a light, but not empty, stomach.
at any rate, psilocin and psilocybin aren't the stablest drugs in the world. letting it sit unrefrigerated for more than a day or two will most likely cause degradation of the final product.
