i have a challenge presented to me in doing props for a show. in the current show one of our actors must consume 2-3 "raw hamburgers." it must be safely edible and look like ground raw hamburger meat. any suggestions? brainstorming help greatly appreciated, thank you.)
Hmm...I don't act, but maybe you guys could make meat loaf and just put a lot of red dye in it? Or get some rice and some-how get it to stay all together in a big blob, and dye it red? ...
sushi rice will stick. also vermichelli, need a STURDY bun, if in sanwich form also sugar cookie dough pushed though a ricerwith appropriate colorings.
overcooked spagetti noodles with touch tomato or spagetti sauce, red food coloring and some dried breadcrumbs together in food processor so to chop in pieces with completly pureeing is what i found. thanks though.
What show is this, I'm intrigued. I've never heard of a show where a character has to eat something like that. I had to eat a sandwich once, and know of another where the cast had to eat breakfast. The sandwich was supposed to be a baked bean sandwich, we used apple butter. A smashed piece of crustless white bread and a piece of apricot works well for a fried egg.
i ate a raw turnip for an extract from waiting for godoh. i wasnt meant to, but i took a bit and it didnt taste half bad so i kept eating it.
This is easy. Roast some red bell peppers, or you can buy them in a jar. Once they are roasted, pat them dry. Mince them and add in some egg whites (or a whole egg if you want) and a bit of bread crumbs... sort of like making a meat loaf. Then squish them into patties and cook them on the stove. The peppers look like raw meat, and the egg and breadcumbs will hold the peppers in a patty shape. Just be sure not to use raw red peppers because obviously they are too bright red. Done!
