laughing at your own jokes

people link it to being up yourself, lame, arrogant, de-humourising.

what do you think?

personally, if i make a joke, it means i find it funny, and i laugh at things that are funny. why would you make a joke if you didnt think it was funny?
i always laugh at my own jokes if theyre particularly funny, unless im making use of a humour i know someone else gets, just for the pleasure of someone laughing at a joke.

i just dont see why people who never laugh or giggle at their own joke-making make a joke in the first place, if not, as i do sometiems, for the fun attention of being a comedian?

i make jokes that i know only i find funny, so that I can laugh. why not? as long as it doesnt upset anyone...

 

Yep, I laugh at my own jokes sometimes. Well, often. Sometimes I'm even the only one laughing.

Does anyone else sometimes randomly remember something funny and just start giggling to themselves?

 

Haha, I laugh at my jokes all the time. So much that I usually can't even finish the joke coz I'm laughing so hard and then people just stare at me like I'm weird or something..

Haha that always happens to me, I can never finish telling a joke cause I'll be laughing too hard.

 

I never remember jokes..so i can't laugh when i tell jokes... but being 'funny' is something else... people laugh at what i say sometimes and obviosly sometimes i say things to be funny , i only laugh if the person clearly misses the joke or falls for the joke..not that it is always funny, but i laugh anyway.

Sometimes though there is more impact when not laughing.

I've come to a point that I just don't really care what other people think.
It happens in public all the time, I remember something funny, or I just make something up and start laughing. I try my best to hide it, but people can always tell. Specially at work or in public transit.

I think my jokes are pretty funny, I think a lot of people just don't understand my sense of humor.

i confess, i am a pansy, i dont find it fun to get dirties from everyone after laughing at someone's upsetness and have everyone shout at me, why cant i be more of a man???
