    That'll be us soon enough.

You know, Im not a big fan of King George II either, but I'm curious as to what you guys think "the real problem" is.

I mean where did all this BS start? Can you blame it all on the US? Or do you go back to the battle of Tours when the Franks finally beat the Moors? European/Western civilization has been at war with the Muslims for over a thousand years! I know Bush is an idiot and this is not an attempt to support him but is all this shit really his fault? What would Clinton have done after September 11th? What about Kennedy or FDR?

Personally I think we've been fighting for thousands of years because the Muslims and Jews cant figure out who Abraham's favorite son was.

September 11 was just another day when Clinton was pres,no, they waited until a bush was back in power.why?for one he's almost doubled the body count while killing people that had nothing to do with it at the same time bringing down our economy.I think he played straight into their hands.
As far as only another 3 years,he's got siblings,we could see bush for a long time.

Clinton, FDR, and other presidents had the intelligence to not snub their allies right before they went to them to ask for help. The Bush administration's popping off remarks along the lines of 'hey, help us out, but we're going to do it our way whether you like it or not' doesn't get you help from your allies. Bush is someone who talks into the wrong end of a horse.

Part of the real problem are the clowns in DC having their cute little meaningless soap operas and insulting groups they don't like for the sake of gratifying their own egos instead of addressing real problems that they don't have the guts or discipline to address.

Clinton raised the issue of bin Laden being a threat but the Republicans accused him of trying to divert attention away from the Monica Lewinsky soap opera. Many Americans still think that Lewinsky was more important than 911. What a great idea for the politicians to air out all of their dirty laundry and make the U.S. a laughing spectacle in front of the international community.

The Elian Gonzales affair was another example. While Reno was squandering time in Florida the summer of 2000 negotiating with a group of emotional crackpot relatives of Elian, the terrorists were right down the road in Florida planning their attack. They used all the resources of the U.S. right under everyone's noses because the jokers in DC were preoccupied with meaningless ideological issues that scored them some cheap points with their political base.

This Schiavo affair is yet another example. Bush interrupted his vacation at Crawford to fly back to DC to sign a bill that allowed Congress to interfere with the normal legal flow. Yet Bush spent the whole month of August 2001 vacationing in Crawford when he had memos indicating there were threats by al Qaeda that needed to be addressed. Shows you where his priorities are at. Too bad he didn't react to those memos even 10% as much as he did to the Schiavo case.

Nothing much has changed with politicians in the U.S. post 911. It's depressing that the politicians are right back in their old mindset even after a tragedy like 911. People should be outraged by this and yet they vote all of these people right back into office all over again.

How to get BUSH out of office? sodabandito was right when he said the problem is still there. It's called big brother. it goies uder names like CIA and NSA. Support NPR and more leftist alternative stations with CASH. That's one way to keep the non-spindoctor media alive. I don't know any other way. Talking to right wingers isn't going to make them intelligent, but with more flow of anti-right media, some people may never turn right in the first place.
