i think this fits into gardning

    i dont think dandlions are really that bad. i know you can do a whole bunch of stuff with them, but i forgot what they are. does anyone know how to make food or other things out of them?

    I've heard of them being used in salads. Neve tried them myself. Yeah they are purdy. Love the color yellow anyways.

    love em,my yard gets coverd with them till i pic em and make wine with them yum yum yum.salid is good too but just a few dandelions mixed in.love

    Do you just use the flower, or the whole plant? (in salad)

    ive heard (i think it was on the food network) of breading and deep frying them, i have also heard tale of picking the leaves of the plant and using them in salads etc.

    fried dandilions.................could be yummy?!?

    dandelion greens are the awesome part for salads get them in the spring before they get to old and bitter

    Absolutely right.
    Too late this year, unless you have some young plants that just sprang up.
    Young leaves are great in salads.

    Also the blossems, but pick the green stuff off the edge of the blossom.
    I also think it is good to take a nip right out of the middle of a fat dandelion blossom.

    Years ago I made wine, when i was in high school. I thought it tasted yeasty, but I may have been my process, rather than the dandelion. High school kids quality control may not have been high. And since all I wanted was alcohol, the low quantity in homemade wine was a disappointment.

    Wait until it properly ages????
    I was in high school!
