Chritianity: 1. forced to love a God that doesnt exist 2. required to beg forgiveness even if you are not regretful 3. promised a trip to the pearly white gates for a simple life dedicated to him 4. pain and suffering with no comfort 5. church on sunday should be enough on its own Satanism 1. worship yourself 2. have no regrets 3. be reincarnated after you live life the way you want to NO REGRETS!!! 4. ease your pain and suffering or dont even feel it at all by any means necessary 5. sleep in on Sunday OH theres much more but youll have to wait til next time.
Chritianity: 1. forced to love a God that doesnt exist=As a Christian I do not feel forced 2. required to beg forgiveness even if you are not regretful=I don't beg I ask. A person with a concience would know the difference. 3. promised a trip to the pearly white gates for a simple life dedicated to him=Not true. Number one rule admit that Jesus died for our sins and that HE is God's Son. 4. pain and suffering with no comfort=pain and suffering comes with knowlegde and being able to learn from our mistakes 5. church on sunday should be enough on its own=I don't go to church on Sunday or any other day and I call myself a Christian. Satanism 1. worship yourself=selfishness 2. have no regrets=evil 3. be reincarnated after you live life the way you want to NO REGRETS!!!=why do it all over if you haven't learned anything the first time? 4. ease your pain and suffering or dont even feel it at all by any means necessary=more pain and suffering 5. sleep in on Sunday=good idea
I'm not a fan of either one.... I have a feeling Christianity has done more evil...but I can't see worshipping an evil deity, even if it is just a fantasy figure.
i dont know where you got those definitions of christianity and satanism, but they both seem pretty innacruate.
If God didn't exist neither would satan Satanist worship satan... ask Colenzo I receive comfort and healing, thus making statement number four fallacious as well. Nice try though
Haha, very witty, but there's a major fallacy. Just because one dislikes all the ridiculous shit involved with Christianity, doesn't mean one has to go the opposite way and worship Satan. How about just not being religious at all? I don't worship Christ -- I think the whole thing is just a big load of shit -- but I don't have to worship EVIL, either! What makes you think that in Satanism, you get your choice to be reincarnated? I thought that the whole premise of making a deal with Satan was that after you die, he owns your soul! There's hardly room for you to go making demands of Satan in that kind of arrangement. Not that I believe it's all real, but... I find it funny that Satanists think that if they worship Satan, he'll be like their good buddy after they die. Um, he's like, the "Lord of LIES," right? Doesn't that mean you couldn't trust any deal you cut with him -- he's gonna rip you off?! I think it would be funny to watch how it went with some loser high school kid who thought it was cool to "worship Satan" when he died and Satan had him raked over burning coals and the kid was like, "Hey, wait, I thought if I worshiped you, you'd give me favor!" And Satan would be like, "Sucks to be you, kid. You're the fuckin' idiot who worshiped someone you knew was EVIL!" -Jeffrey
i hate getting stuck doing group projects for a class, and there's one really ignorant person in the group who you know is just gonna bring you down. this was a dumb thread, sickcharlie.
way to go peanuts. I was getting ready to tackle this one, but you beat me too it. I found this thread to be very sterotypical
look i aplogize for the stupid thread..i was stoned and should have kept my ideas to myself. thank you for bringing it to my attention
SickCharlie you don't have to apologize however the fact that you did I think says more about you than you might realize. I will speak for myself but I've gone through some real dark times. During those times when I was at my bottom I wondered about what to believe. I've had some questions about relgion and what to believe or not to believe. In the end I choosed what I believe now and I'm grateful that I did because looking back it only made me a better Laura. Anger, uglyness, resentment, and bitterness is not what is going to get me through this life. Instead I've choose to learn from situations I've encountered and take what I can out of it so I can move forward. I'm not trying to preach. I'm just trying to let you know that though times may seem dark now they don't always have to appear that way.
Hahahaha!! What have I been saying all along?! I've been saying that stoned people do stupid shit that they only THINK is all cool and profound and deep at the time. Here we have the remorse of the sobered-up stoner. LOL! I love it! -Jeffrey
