I agree, but you NEVER know and I try not to judge too quickly ;)

I've gotten better deals for great beasters so it's not too out there of a price.

It's when people start talking shit like "I can get an ounce for 20 bucks in the US" that I get on people's ass.

It's really high around here.... my friends buy from a guy who homegrows and just shares with other close friends. But you're gone after a hit or two.

you can get pretty damn decent mids in ohio for as low as 90-100 bucks for an oz if you have a good dealer....

125 in this state just isnt bad at all.

but its not gonna be pot that i'd want to smoke all the time ;)

does everyone say this? "if i ever grew id give shit away to people i know for free" because i know that is what i think id do. is it different when you actually grow though? if i had enough, i know id be selling o's for like 70 bucks.

i mean i know people raise the price because of "risk" or whatever, but what does it matter if you sell an o for 60 bucks rather than 130, if youre gonna get caught youre gonna get caught and lose the money either way.

If you grew yourself you could sell ounces for $300 or higher. Home grown is much better than any street weed. UNless you grew from shwag seeds or fucked up your grow or ddint cure or dry properly.

exactly....."homegrown is better unless you don't know what you're doing," which most people dont.

but considering the amount of time that goes into learning about it, money invested in learning, money invested in lights, soil, nutes, seeds/clones/whatev., and so on, increases in energy bills, etc, plus the really long time it takes to grow a plant to maturity and still get a respectable yield anyway, growing your own pot may eventually be cheaper and safer than buying on the street but it is by no means easier or quicker, and it takes a LOT of skill AND money to make anything come out decent unless you're growing outdoors. i know someone with a rather large setup and a lot of pretty decent plants, you know, old stinkyhouse mcgee. anyway, even with what knowledge he has he still is convinced theres a way to tell "female" seeds from "male" seeds....even though his shit comes out good and smokable, thats not to say he knows everything he's doing or talking about. a quality grower has to know shit, has to invest in shit, has to do a shitload of work, and no one is going to just --give-- pot away unless its small amounts to close friends, or its a trade or something.

though a different guy i know is interested in trying to start sort of a community grow circle....a few houses with several plants each (different strains depending on house).....no one tells anyone outside of the circle about it.....grow as much as they can and then break up the crops evenly among the growers. that way, you're gauranteed to get back what you give away, and everyone gets to try something new. rules would include things like NEVER selling it, not telling friends about it, etc...

theres an idea for some people though. get like fifteen houses with a five plant minimum each....it could work out.

heh, thats what i thought i'd do. not doing it though. mushrooms are easier, cheaper, quicker, and more discreet to grow anyway, not to mention more profitable (if you're into that kind of thing)

i feel your pain, Dazed ~ i'm in Austin, and although we do get some good greens, we pay some hefty prices. i rate stuff by how many hits to a decent buzz, and the stuff i've got now is like 9 and costs $100 an oz. i've gotten Blueberry for $350 an oz, AK-47 and Skunk for $300 an oz. (i rate those strains as like a 2.5 to 3 on the gwender scale.) All in all, i'm pretty happy with the upscale schwag.
