    So yeah, some of you know my history. 0-4 so far in my life, all my relationships have been short, 1-4 months...and right now I am here at college where 3 of my relationships have happened and ended. I'm single and was feelin lonely but seeing as this is a small college I couldn't see myself meeting anyone at this point, plus the fact I am in the middle of nowhere maine with no car. So I joined Hot or Not, the first online dating thing I have ever tried (8.3 rating I have, not that it matters). I figured, why not? I probably won't meet anyone to close out the semester.

    I met some cool people, lots in fact. A few cuties double matched me too which was cool. But this one girl double matched and sent me an email. I am a star member so I can send em too. But right off the bat she was like "my name is heather i am 19 i will be 20 april 9 2005 call me at ***-***-****" She was a big cutie so I saw it odd that she would want a stranger to call her, I figured it highly unlikely, but sure, I'm up for something new! I did, no awnser! Figured it was her cell and tried a few hours later, still nothing.

    It turned out being her home number and her mom called back and was like "who is this?" She seemed wicked pissed right off the bat so I was soooo nervous. I lied and said "my reception is bad" so she repeated herself, even more pissed. So I lied again and was like "this is not actually my phone, its my room mates, I just anwser it sometimes." She still seemed pissed and was like, "can i speak with him". I put down the phone and sat their, stunned. I heard her bout a minute later and she was like "hello". So i picked up and was like, "couldn't find him". So she asked, "who is your room mate" I lied and said Jon. She asked what his last name was. I paused and was wicked embaressed and nervous and couldn't utter anything. So I was like, "I don't have to tell you that. Than she said she had the state (Virginia) police looking at the number and told me to stay quiet (not call).

    Fucking A!!! What did I do to dererve this???? I sent her an email in response to hers, telling her this:

    i tried...than yer mom called back and my roomie picked up and was all
    confused and is kinda scared now....oh well

    Thats a lie too ^, but I was so nervous and am still scared. Fuck this online shit!

    Um, how about you don't try contacting her again. Obviously her mother isn't comfortable with a guy calling for her daughter that she doesn't know yet. There are plenty of other fish. If the police contact you, just say she gave your number, you tried a couple of times, and her mom seemed really upset about it so you lied to try and not upset her more about the whole thing.

    On a tad more serious note - ihmurria gave some sound advice.
    You haven't done anything illegal.

    give her your number then if she calls say you wanna talk to her mother. then holler at her for giving you such a bad time when you're really just the kinda guy her stupid daughter would be lucky to go out with.

    we'll back ya up>:::)))

    That was a beautifully recited visual mantra!! You seem a strongly spiritual person. Can you do me a favor and visualize my cell phone making its way home to me, which cell phone I lost aftre letting some stupid hippy borrow it? Which what bad karma of mine deserved this increasing inconvenience PLUS expense. (?)

    Thanks and I know you can do it!

    Leave her alone, then if the mother pursues you further, sue her for malicious prosecution.

    haha, I don't think the police took that woman seriously. I made two innocent phone calls, left no messages and sounded like a typical nervous young adult on the phone. I think I would have heard something by now, especially from my mom, if something had happened.
