I always see these hot hippy guys hanging out, just sitting around playing guitars and stuff downtown...I really want to meet them. I'm really bad with confronting people and starting conv. I don't really dress "hippy-ish" but I want them to give me a chance...Any advice on how I could start a conv with them?? I nkow this sounds pathetic, but I don't have anyone else to ask for help...

Just go up & introduce yourself say you've seen them about & what they do & you're very interested & want to know more about them not in those words exactly but you know thats what I do I've met artists & even the Wizard {we have a Wizard of New Zealand lol} & they are always are receptive I've found :)

Yeah, what he said. I think you will find that kind souls are often very receptive to someone being honest and forward.

if they are real hippies, they'll give you a chance. but if they give you the cold shoulder and ignore you, then they are fakes created by a television society and a conservative world.

Chances are they will be delighted to meet you. And if they are rude or not very nice then they aren't worth knowing.

try talking to them about something you have in common, music is usually the best thing
