Hubby and I like porn . He's deployed right now, but left a bunch of his girlie mags here with me, and I'll flip through them occasionally. I like 'em. We used to share movies and such over the internet when we had to be apart while he was in tech for the AF. More often than not though, we find ourselves laughing at porn because honestly most of it is so far out there.

It is disingenuous of you to say that it is "done to them." They're active, willing participants. If they didn't want to be "demeaned" by being "gang raped" (how can you even use the term "RAPED"?!) they could just stipulate in their contract that they won't do multiple partners. There are all kinds of porn women who draw certain lines in certain places. Some won't do other women. Some won't do anal. Some won't do anything with bondage, while others will. They're not enslaved and forced to do it. They go out in search of this employment.

Please stop deliberately mischaracterizing what is going on with utterly inappropriate terminology.

Your condemnation of the porn film industry as a whole, and your pronouncements that the actors and actresses are involved in odious activities, are not facts. These are just your views, and may be very true, totally false, or anywhere in between.
So, I suggest that it would be prudent to resist the urge to judge them, and even more importantly, to use tact, diplomacy, and restraint when you cannot hold your views in..
After all, such negative attacks could damage the reputations and besmirch the characters of porn stars everywhere, which would be a shame.

Most pornography that I've been exposed to (which isn't a whole lot, so my opinion is probably less valid than a lot) lacked all things I find attractive and sexy. I've never seen anything that was at all sensual, and all of the females in any pornography seem to be wearing WAY too much make up and just...whoring themselves out. It lacks sensuality and that is my biggest problem. I'm a romantic person, I like romantic aspects. So, no, I'm not a porn fan.

 

Well, I admit I AM a perv, but I'm not a sick perv...meaning I don't get into child pornography, beastiality, or any of that other fucked up shit.

 

But how do you define being a perv? Surely perverted means sexually bizzare, unusual. So in that respect, can it not be said that anyone who likes to watch straight-forward human adult porn is not perverted at all, since they are only enjoying something that most people would naturally enjoy anyway?

• Literally, 'perverted' means something odd that most people don't do.

• Biologically, 'perverted' means something new that humans traditionally never did, so we're perverting against nature.

• Culturally, 'perverted' is used simply to descripbe any sexual act (especially inappropriate), desipte it being both natural and popular.

To decide if pornography is perverted, we first need to look at masturbation:

Literally, masturbation is not perverted, since almost all males do it and most women have tried it.

Biologically, masturbation is not perverted, since it's a natural bodily process.

Culturally, yes masturbation is often seen as perverted. But this is just as figure of speech to describe inappropriate behavious. If we catch someone masturbating we may call them a pervert, in the same way when we catch someone farting, we call them 'dirty'. But these are both normal bodily functions.

So, sensibly speaking, masturbation is not at all perverted. We can conclude that nor too is pornography, since pornography is merely an aid to masturbation. Pornography does not change the nature of masturbation in any way, it merely provides a visual stimulus to reenforce the fantasy in the mind.

Anything that enhances or reenforces masturbation is not perverted. The only thing that can be perverted is the fantasy in the person's head, which is an independent issue to masturbation.
