Thanks to all of y'all's suggestions in my 'Cough, Cough, COUGH!' thread, i went on a little shopping expedition and found the absolute, hands~down PERFECT answer to my problem:

That little beauty fits into any longneck, and you can actually DRESS UP your pipe in those zip-up coozies! (Cripes! i've GOTTA be flying, right now, to think of something like THAT! :H ) Anyway, here's what it looks like:

i figure that i can pack some drinking straws to substitute for the glass tubes, and the whole thing will be amazingly portable AND disposable!

i also got a quartz 'bat' for my Pinch Hitter (that metal one was the pits), 25 screens, 3 packs of papers and something else, but i can't remember what right now, for UNDER $22! Heck, i'm so proud of myself, i've almost broken my arm, patting myself on the back! rofl

Well, it's a rubber stopper, shaped like a cork, that fits into the opening of a bottle. In the stopper are two holes that go all the way through: one for the bowl to go in the top of, and a long stem to go in the bottom of; the other, for the pipe stem to go in the top of. The glass tubes are the same size around as plastic drinking straws.

Once i tried it out, i could see that i really needed a smaller bowl, and THAT led me to think that all i really needed were the rubber stopper, a good bowl, some straws and a bottle of beer. Talk about an inexpensive piece!
