I write this not too long b4 2000 + it got published in a year 2000 poetry anthology book.

Ode to the sea of life
    By Hippychrome

I lift the bottle and read the instructions,
put on the gloves and screw off the cap.
Down the sink slips Mr Muscle to clear out the blockages.
Over night ‘til morning it works like that.

Deadly fumes and heavy odour fills up the air,
an asthma attack I do now bear,
stumbling for medication and stumbling to bed,
I sleep until morning when I can flush out the chem’s.

I woke up next morning feeling blue,
went to have a look and go to the loo.
"WOW" I said as the sinks do work.
So swilled away are the chem’s of today.

Sitting in the bathroom I think of that,
but waken when I thought of the power of that,
Going to the sewer and out to the sea,
extra dead sealife now floats because of me.

The guilt I feel is bothering me,
so this poem I write in honour of thee.
The sea of life I am sorry,
but mankind gives no alternatives at this time.

Improvements could be soon in the year 2000,
    we hope,
we pray for this to be,
    Environmental conservation,
    we wish for thee,
to clean up the oceans of tranquillity.

New life to be born in cleaned up seas,
We will for thee to come into being.
Come to us soon,be with us now,
A nice clean sea where new life can be found.

And yet, last week, the sink was blocked and I used another bottle and another Asthma attack I did have.

Time and events repeat themselves from years ago.

LOL, there are other ways to unblock it one that works great requires a garden hose. Theres an attatchment, bladder you put on it, and it pressurizes the water from the hose and forces the blockage down and out. Try not breathing while pouring and run like hell when yer done, lol.

ha ha, well, I think we may have a cultural difference here :) . Our plug holes UK way, well my bathroom sink anyway is not much over 1 inch wide. But, you could be right so I'll look about attachment lol.

And believe me, when I poured, I put in the plug after + half filled with water to stop any more chem smells ha ha. But, its not often, in fact, this recent one was about 7 years since I did the poem :) And in a different home lol.

Actually, I don't think I wanna flush it out strong cos about 3 weeks ago I lost my gold stud down it that I had me ear done with when I was 8 years old, ( I use as nose studs now ), so want it back 1st !! Lol.

Babe....it ain't gonna be worth a crap now after the chemical spill... it will probably remain black or at best coppery colored. Even after a proffesional chemical bath. A lil late to remove the trap too..i know theres gonna be residual chemicals there. I know, from one stopped sink to another, lol

Ha ha, well, don't worry our kid 46, ( hey it rhymes lol ;) ) . It will be alright, its just that its a bugger to unscrew the thingy under the sink, but when I do, I bet it'll be alright, Its been through approx 27 years or so of differing crap, do you think a little Mr Muscle can harm it ;) ( its propper piercing gold etc + was done with a piercing gun, believe me, it'd survive a nuke lol ). Unless its swilled it away WAHHHH !!! ( But then again, I didn't use the special Foam one to unblock all so I live in hope :) ).

'So swilled away are the chem’s of today' . ( But not my gold stud, ( I hope ) ).

If its not too personal.. you got any piercings? I got my ear + nose :)

Just my ears, I'm a wuss and have allergic reactions to metals sometimes, even the good stuff. I was a jeweler for 10 years though and I make up for the loss in rings and necklaces, lol

WHOA, you too with allergies ?!? My ear infected pretty fast and still does so I keep my earings and nose stud in TCP lol. Thus when I wear them for a few hours or a day, not a jot of pain :) Sounds a good business to be in though, I.E some jewelry esp now piercings are on the increase aye :) ? Although that maybe a tip lol. But I know you know your market with necklaces and rings :) Pretty impressive really :) . Do you make or mould any custom ones etc?

Nice one :) . One day I may be requesting something :) . Of course, I'd insist it be on a necklace bought from you to be fair :) . Mind you, I shouldn't be so lazy, I should be making and empowering my own talismans etc, but, sometimes lazyness gets in the way lol. Oh well.
