that's the title of the relatively new authorized biography of the grateful dead. i believe it was published a few years ago. it's well worth reading. i think the authors name is mcnalty? but i'm not sure.
Remember that Dennis is employed by the Dead et al. He was the publicist on the power of his Kerouac bio (which was rather good) I 'd reccomend this one (hey, he mentions Steve Kimock and Mark Karan, friends of mine in the end) I'd skip Rock Scully's Living with based on comments from Martin Fierro (who was around during a lot of the time rock writes about) Martin (mar Teeeen) played sax on Flood and Legion of mary.
It's a good read, along one, but a good one. Took me the better part of a month to finish it, but it was worth every second.
dude Living With the Dead by Scully was kick ass, just picked it up at the book store and it was very good.
