I quite liked the first Matrix ... it was a great idea, not a brilliant film but it had lots to think about. What exactly was the point of these two bloated gothic sequels? Terrible scripts, apalling acting, very little plot and what there was consisted mostly of hokey starwars-esque pseudo-religious nonsense.

    - Oracle, where must I go?
    - I think you know.
    - I've always known.
    - I know you've always known.
    - I know you know I've always known.

Fuck off! What a waste of four hours...

Oh and really poor editing as well for what were essentially fight-filled action films... no visual drama at all. Lazy and pointless... Rant over...

The second one was alright I guess... the third one just made the whole series crappier though...

What shoulda happeend is that neo should have never awoken from that coma he was in at the end of the second one.

Then they should have plugged him into the matrix where neo realised that the only way to free people from the matrix was to destroy the whole digital world killing the robots and everyone still plugged in... IE about all of humanity.

It would have been dramatic and maybe kinda heartwrenching, and would have given neos charecter a lot more depth.

Plus it would be awesome to see Keanu Reeves destroing the planet. [IMG]

dripping with christian messiah bollox. he was even on a crucifix (of light, briefly) at the end.

i reckon a better third film would have been if neo woke up from the coma at the end of the second film to find out that zion was just another layer of a larger matrix that he breaks out of to discover that the whole matrix construction was a control mechanism all held inside a giant mettalic sphere that is keeping human generations alive to reach the next star system. a kind of seed ship that he wakes up just in time to see it passing by the new solar system with no way to turn back.

If you were a filmmaker you would appreciate the amount of work that went int o them, I mean building a Highway, I dont think films have not that so far. And being Zionist I buy into the hockey star wars lighter and darker side understanding, most hippies do too.
But yeah They pulled of some amazing stuff. But the computer graphics killed it.

The third one did indeed suck. The second one had very little plot as you said, but I think it somewhat redeemed itself by having one of the best action scenes (the chase on the freeway) in any movie I've seen in a long time.

I loved the first and second movies. The third movie was well made, but the ending they chose was just depressing. Also, I don't understand why Neo still trusts the Oracle in Revolutions after she is outed as a fraud in Reloaded.
