I just think its ridiculous the way preteens are taking over the world :D when I hear about little kids having sex parties, it completely blows my mind.. When i was a kid, i could never imagine messing around or even thinking about boys and the stuff that comes with that.. Or if I am too fat, or what I look like and such.. its just so mind boggling(sp) at times..

When 12-14 yr old girls look like 18yr olds, they usually end up attracting older men, and even though they may look older they definetly don't have the maturity to match. This can be a very dangerous thing.

Girls are maturing too quickly physically as well because of all the growth hormones in our food today. Some girls are starting their periods as early as 9 yrs old!!

I think SOME kids grow up to fast and other kids don't grow up at all.
It's wierd to hear kids younger than you talking about politics when they are only in 8th grade. My sister is 9 and she reads the newspaper every day and then at dinner she'll talk about what's going on in other parts of the world....it's really wild to hear her talk about stuff like that.

Kids are growing up way too fast. It's terribly depressing. Why is it condoned, accepted, and just dismissed with a simple shrug of the shoulders and an "oh, that's just the way it is now", why are we robbing our kids of a childhood? Why can't we let them be CHILDREN for crying out loud? So sad.

They only have one very short childhood, and one very long adulthood. :(

I want to give my kid a good childhood. Mine was robbed without my consent and that sucks. But what about the kids who WANT to be grown ups? It seems like you can't get it through thier head that it's just not that fun to be older and childhood is really the best years of your life!!

Because usually when people get involveed in trying to keep children children they usually just patronise and annoy the crap outta the children. [IMG]

Keep it in perspective I guess... I mean there are 9 year old guerrillas fighting in The Congo. [IMG]

yes its dirty. i saw a girl who was very pre pubescent, had to be around 8, at the shopping centre, and she was wearing a mini skirt and you could see her ass cheeks. i couldnt believe any parent would let their 8 yr old daughter go out like that. im guessing she was either not wearing panties or wearing a g coz ewww it was totally rank.

i think i was still playing with lego when i was 8 :D

Me and my friends were like that a fair bit as younguns... older than we probably should've been but not at all in a sexual way. Most of us didn't even start dating until we were 16. I do think that kids are sexualized at way to early an age though... so many clothing stores are selling mini skirts for kids and it's despicable. If I ever had a kid, I would never let them wear that crap. You're a kid, you should be running around the school playground and on the swings, not worried if you're going to flash someone or having some 50 year old hitting on you because they think you're 18. EW EW EW.

I agree about the clothing thing. It is quite odd to see younger kids wearing revealing clothing. I lived with a family who had beautiful children, and they let thier daughters (13,14 and 16) wear these middrift shirts, tight ass pants, naval rings, basically whatever they wanted to wear BUT then the parents would get mad if their daughters were caught making out with their boyfriends or experimenting with sex. I didnt get it really. I should correct myself, it was the mother who bought the clothing for her kids but the father disliked and disapproved of the clothing. It was a battle. I'm not saying they were bad parents, they were very loving. I just felt that they were giving thier kids mixed signals about what they were allowed to do. Just my opinion.

I dont ever look down upon young girls having babies.. Stuff happens, not like they are trying to get pregnant (when if they are they are probably not getting enough attention at home and want someone to love and love them back, but im not saying every case of a young teen wanting to get pregnant is like that)
People always blame the young girls when they get pregnant, like its their fault and what hoes they are and thats total shit. The young girl isnt the only one who created the baby, not the only one having sex, but yet its thrown upon her like its her fault and shes a tramp. Its sad, yes, when a young teen has a baby, cause they have to grow up so fast and I cant even imagine how hard it would be.

I couldn't agree more. This shit scares the hell out of me. It's just wrong.

What is even more wrong is when the child gets into trouble and the parent who basically gave up the right to be a parent says "I don't know how to help my lil' Sally or Rex. I can't talk to my kids". Had they been talking to them and being more involed with what they were doing and watching when they were lil' tykes till the present a lot of that crap would be avoided.

I also agree with Missfontella. I am old school too and my boys are just that lil' boys. The day they come home grabbing their crotch and talking smut their going to have one hell of a talking to.
