ive been thinking about it... i dont know one person in my generation that would tell me marijuana should be ilegal, i can think of plenty who dont smoke it but none who really condone it. now, assuming the natural order of things continues, all the prudes who are keeping victimless pleasures ilegal will all eventually be dead. so then once all the people in power are from our generation isn't it logical to assume that our society will grow more open-minded to the counter-culture?

now, you can tell me that since the 60s there has always been the kids who use drugs (i mean, the freaking hippie movement!) but now its different. it used to be that there was the group of kids who enjoyed getting high and werent slaves but now everything is more evenly spread out. instead of having a minority of teens strongly into drugs we have almost all teens using marijuana or abstaining but still not disagreeing. with this 'subtle movement' going on i think as the deaths of our elders comes closer, the legalization of our awesome plant will be right behind it. i hope.

Take a poll of how many people think it should be legal. Some people think so because they know that it is putting thousands of people in jail and adding to the tax money that could be distributed elsewhere.

umm sorry to say, but i think this actually has lots of flaws. Generally, the people that rule our countries came from the era where everyone tried drugs. Theyw ere like us, in fact, they were more privelafged to try everything. bush no doubt did lots of drugs. society changes as it grows up.

anyway, ive got lots of friends who think smoking is ok, even if they dont do it, but ive got friends whoa re indifferent, and would prolyl go agaisnt it if in political power, and those who belittle me for being a stoner.
fuck i hate arrogant metrosexual posers.

oh well, we can never predict how thigns will go. i would hope that the world changes for the better, but the youth of today are so immoral, or simply a-moral that the world wud suck. I can say this caus i AM a youth of only 16. I hate the world, if more ppl did pot, the world wud be nicer.

I hate propaganda that relates marijuana to crime. Marijuana doesnt cause crime, criminals do, it jsut so happens that criminals do drugs, of which include marijuana. and fucking heroin and speed and shit.

but i guess i shudnt put down drugs ive not tried...

Stoner bill is right. when you get older your mind changes and has a more "mature" outlook. but it might change since there is more open minded people being made each day. but lots of stoners dont really beleive in the cause and dont know shit about weed they just smoke it for fun or to be "cool"

um, I know TONS of people who are AGAINST it. They make fun of me constantly for being a "druggie" and all. If you had to live in small town, middle America, you would probably know what I was talking about. The town is split between stoners (we do have GOOD weed) and stoner-haters.

maybejusthappy is right. There are lots of people against it. I know a lot of kids in my school who are against it. And sometimes I get picked on for being a druggie, but , I don't care. So, I don't think it will get legalized unless we get some people like us in Congress.

kids at my school either are way against weed or they smoke, but aren't really into getting it decriminalized or legalized. it gets really annoying when people come up to me and say "weed is bad for you," but yet they dont' know what there talking about.

its just natural that things get better over time, evolve and become more open. look at us, compared to 400 years ago when you could be hanged and murdered just for being a witch. Things are definitely getting better, although we wanna only look at the bad sometimes.

    1. Most politicians are conservative & do not smoke.

    2. Do you really think the politicians who do smoke wanna admit to the others that they do?

Just my two cents. I like your reasoning & I wish that was true.

ok well heres my 2 cents. look at the people in congress and the government in general, its mostly republican, all conservatives who have no clue what they are doing, if it were up to them marijuana would stay illegal. look at the whole homeland security thing (i know this happend awhile ago but ill still bring it up) when ashcroft was going on that whole thing of shutting down head shops and arresting the owners. for instance Tommy Chong (atleast i think thats why hes in jail) i dont see things getting any better for the legalization process but i know for sure that im going to try and do my part in legalizing it.
