Although I don't really like that she's just bumping around through these different cultures (I don't see it as healthy, personally), I would take it as a compliment if she did what you're insinuating. Meg has a great heart, and her mind is growing. It's just a part of being young.

I think Meg is having trouble defining herself because she's inadvertaly started her own--yet to be labeled-- subculture. I think we should all follow her example and start our own movement. We can call ourselves Meganites. Or maybe Ramenites.

Through reading posts in this thread I just thought I'd make an observation. Your fighting to label yourselves/other people. You shouldnt worry about the label you should worry about the person. A person will in fact change who they are several times through out life, and your all so young to indefinately "define" yourselves as your trying to do. Just let yourself be you, stop with the stereotypical nonsense! Im still finding out who I am and Im...lets just say Im much older than all of you! My daughter May has gone through the exact same thing and has gotten chastized for doing so. I will not chastize her, and I feel her true friends wont either. As if you are true friends to Megan then you will support her in whatever she chooses to explore (as long as its not going to kill her..) She will always be herself, she may be sort of like a hippie, she may be sort of like a beatnik, hell she might turn rapper for you all you know...and trust me when I say this, let her be her as well as let yourself be yourself. Stop getting caught up in all these labels... I bet you'll be a lot happier
