Three U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets were struck by “friendly fire” from Kuwaiti air defenses and lost over Kuwait during Operation Epic Fury.

I'm wondering if Claude was responsible, the AI the DoD is using in the war, despite Trump ordering its use discontinued immediately.

Iran is hitting the Gulf States now where it hurts, in their oily balls and tourism industry.

The Saudis and possibly others may join the fight.

As the administration tries to come up with a good reason for going to war with Iran, Trump says Americans may need to die on American soil for his war.

He don't give a shit what happens, so long as people stop talking about him and Epstein.

I can't work out why the Republican Party isn't reigning him in. I think their failure to do so makes them complicit if not actually culpable for the inflation, job-losses and, now, needlessly lost American lives.

@Toker - do you have a link to him saying about Americans dying on American soil? I may repost elsewhere ;)
I wonder does he expect us to think of American soil as bases overseas or is he veiling the reality that it will be US mainland.

Give it a few years, I think, and there'll be more stuff on US mainland akin to 9-11. Though, likely, drones instead of planes. That's the real potential consequences that may emanate from this crazy military action.

Do you really not have any idea why neither the republicans nor the Democrats (interesting how the software automatically capitalized the one and not the other) have put any serious/effective effort into restraining him in this attack? “Qui bono?”

Oh, yes, I can suspect each party has a specific reason or a series of them for not standing up to this. I would have thought the Republicans would be more keen to reign him in so they don't risk being out of office for a long time. Not expecting them to do what's right for the Country so much as protecting their own interests.

Turns out Russia has been giving Iran targeting data on all US assets in the region.

That's probably why the base deep in Saudi Arabia with dozens of US aircraft there waiting for the war to begin was targeted at the very start of the war.. Supposedly the missiles/drones were all shot down?

The Iranians have also successfully hit at least two command posts killing those six soldiers they talk about.

And I heard the US just launched an ICBM from California. Supposedly unarmed...

lol. They ARE protecting their own interests. So is trump. What one donor/group can make or break a politician’s chances of election/re-election? What one donor/group could brazenly cut short any politician’s career/life?

Can’t wait for some joker to chime in here and say they’re all being blackmailed by the Russians.

I suggest you misread my post. But on the Russia dimension, nope, I dont think Russian involvement is anything like social media seems to say.

Maybe. I thought you meant that it was in republicans’ (or for that matter Democrats - look it did it again - interesting) best interests, for their own electoral prospects, to rein in trump. I suggest it is not. Their donors and power brokers will punish them much more severely than their own voters if they don’t support whatever “our greatest ally” wants to do to Iran or any other country.

    Party/national interest -v- self-interest.
The system should prevent a party (D or R) from being controlled by powerful groups.
(Lobbying is ok. Control by lobbyists not ok)

I thinks theres a few that could do that. Big businesses (arms, social media, others), big associations (NRA), some individuals.

Yes. All of those groups you listed, while exerting some potential economic control over all of our politicians (both left and right), do not have the impressive track record of dominant political power and brazen targeted killings as do the one group you conspicuously neglected to mention. I guess you could technically call them lobbyists - in the same sense that a gangster is also a businessman - “I’m going to make you an offer you can’t refuse.”

btw, if you were over here, you’d realize that the nra is a joke (even when it had a bit of money and power) and not some powerful industry lobby that keeps “holding back sensible laws that would protect our youth.” I’ve lived in a couple other countries and saw what their media spews about “the evil nra”(not to suggest our own media is not pure bs). The nra was an industry lobby group masquerading as a grassroots 2a rights defence organization. Years of leaks about anti-2a backroom deals and embezzlement scandals have stripped its money/power and any pretence of defending the rights of citizens. The boomers might still pay for that shitty magazine they used to publish. I live near and work around a lot of honest-to-god rednecks, and even a few “hi-speed, low-drag” LEOs and g-men. None of these hardcore 2a types cares for, let alone supports, the nra.

Besides, we all know the crime and violence problems are the result of demographics, socioeconomics, and even genetics  anyway. From what little I pay attention to the news from “old blighty”, as well as the continent, it appears that many of you are waking up to this fact as well. None of you will do anything about it though for fear of being labelled “the r word”. Oh, some of you will milquetoastly toy with the idea of possibly maybe considering thinking about saying you might potentially support, or maybe just vote for, a nationalist party - oh, though not the candidate that’s running in your riding because he said a couple of things somebody might fine offensive 5 or 10 years ago.

Back to the topic at hand before someone comes in to remind us that these threads are not supposed to wander like natural human conversations. This war is for one purpose. For one people. For one country. Everyone knows this. The truth and the fact that everyone knows it makes no difference.

If trump was just a kiddie diddler, even as vain and selfish as he is, I don’t believe he’d start a war to prevent the shame of the compromat being released. My speculation is that he has been repeatedly shown the real-time ten-digit grid coordinates of all of his progeny by his most frequent visitor.

Our customary political dichotomy is again strained by this war. One side wants to salivate in tune wth Trumpo the Clown, the other will oppose any war and give a knee-jerk response of support for whomever USA attacks.

Looking at things objectively there are 2 things which should be realized:

    1. Trumpo the Clown is a dangerous megalomaniac. His supporters are criminally complicit with all the assorted illegal and amoral acts he performs. As for this war, he appears to be clueless how to effectuate regime change, how to end it, what really are the goals, and how to deal with the fact that his precipitous actions have ignited the entire region.

    2. The Iranian regime is also the embodiment of evil. They cannot be seen as a "sovereign nation" since the regime in fact is an occupying power. IRGC rapes, tortures, murders, slaughters en masse, keeps women in virtual slavery, incites terrorism throughout the region, and fanatically pursues the Islamicist dream of a global (universal) ummah.

Looking at the Trumpo Administration (regime) and the IRGC, a phrase from Shakespeare comes to mind: "A POX on BOTH YOUR HOUSES!"

Hang on, folks, it will be a bumpy ride as opposition to this ill-conceived war grows in the USA, as Trumpo becomes increasingly desperate, as the economy sinks due to the war (Straits of Hormuz and all that), and as the mess becomes so extensive that nobody will know how to stop it or fix it.

Now, who voted for this psychopath? Stand up and be counted!
