Beautiful, loyal, kind
I can't get enough

I still wonder what happened to Deidre, she suddenly abandoned HF.

 

I never met her.

 

I tend to spend time on HF a few times a week, when my brain has more energy than my body. Sometimes, when I am busy on a project I may not contribute anything to the site for a couple of months.

Some people become regular and well liked members, then for some reason they just seem to burn out.

 

I can see that. I have had many times where I needed to step back for a variety of reasons. Sometimes unexpected things happen but it always makes you worry when they disappear without a word. I hope any and all of your missing friends are well

 

Too many ideas
Flooding through me, hard to hold
Mind often spinning

 

it's nice when your mind is spinning from excitement, from your art, from music & poetry & love

 

The thing that makes HF unique, is that the owner, admins and mods are regularly online chatting, rather than sitting in an office checking up on members. The few people who join for the wrong reasons, mostly run for the hills, rather than waiting to get banned. LOL

YouTube is currently being wrecked by all the AI spam. This may be hard to believe, but if you sat down after dinner to watch ONLY new videos that had been uploaded within the last 24 hours, you would need to sit at your computer for 127 YEARS.
They have no human mods, the Google search engine software controls it all. If they did employ some mods, they would need in excess of 30,000 of them.

For anyone that wants to join in but might not remember what a haiku is, it is a three lined poem based on the syllable count.

First line = 5 syllables
Second line = 7 syllables
Third line = 5 syllables

If you are ever unsure about how many syllables there are in a word or phrase, there is an easy way to figure it out.
Put your hand just under your chin but not quite touching.
Say the word or phrase out loud (or at least move your mouth as if you were saying it out loud).
Count every time your chin drops, that is a new syllable.

Once you get the hang of it, you probably won't need to use your hand but it is helpful in the beginning.
