It's funny how that happens. I tend to be more nostalgic about the 80s, but I love that dream pop ethereal sound of "Fade Into You".
True. I feel the same way about it. I had an 80s song come on today that I hadn't thought about in a while. It made me think of someone I was so crazy about, lol. It's a very toxic song, but I love it!! Here's "Anything, Anything" by Dramarama
Carmelita - Warren Zevon.....which is ironic I just loved the melody and beat but I'm as sober as a Man can get right now. The only thing that I might suffer from is the constant indulging in sweets and coffee-caffeine. Currently I'm in South East Asia on vacation with my parents and it's always interesting because I may listen to my classics of retro music - my own collection and stuff....but when I go outside and hear the radio, they always some sort Whitesnake song playing and then the next track after that...something with The Carpenters. This place is a breath of fresh air sometimes
I just heard a version of this song, lyrics were the same the music was very different, it was just completely wrong so had to go and listen to the original.
MERLE HAGGARD singing "I GUESS HE'D RATHER BE IN COLORADO" from the final episode of the 22 hour-long mini-series CENTENNIAL broadcast in late 1978 & early 1979 (based on James Michener's novel with same title (a most excellent book/mini-series)) just about every major TV star from BEFORE 1978 and others who would go on to fame in 1980's TV had roles..
Involuntarily listened to this when I was posting on a different thread, my computer slipped and as I caught it it somehow opened my music and started playing this song...
