Ok, the dust has settled after the YP conference and launch. The gutter press and right wing media trashed it with their words, but having spoken to friends who went, the whole thing was not too bad and some pretty heavy stuff was discussed. But does it have a future or have the Greens stolen the show. My feeling is it's always gonna be a lesser partner in a electoral pact with the Greens and I really feel for Jeremy.
I’d been hoping for something to happen, for so long, and in typical left fashion, they seem to have ballsed it right up, in no time at all. I voted Green, last time, in a 50/50 Tory/Reform constituency. At this point, I can only see me voting Green, again, next time..
I'm a member of the Workers Party and hoped to stand in next year's local elections. Unfortunately health issues ruled that out and it's likely I'll be recovering from an op for a lot of the campaign. Like yourself I'm kinda disappointed with Your Party. I think Jeremy had a plan but Zara was too impatient and vocal in her impatience. And don't the media like to pick up on these things. At the same time Zak was elected leader of the Greens and seems to adopt a message of class struggle. I to will probably vote Green. The left had hope in Your Party, but it looks like it's not gonna end well. I remember years ago when Left Unity was formed similar hope only for fall outs and a rapid decline.
