Trump to sign ‘one-rule’ executive order on AI to bypass US state approvals

    excerpt:

“In the first half of next year, we are concerned that consumers are going to start to see the price increases become a little more broad based, and there may not be all the [holiday sales] promotion to help clear through some of that,” Joseph Feldman, a senior managing director at Telsey Advisory Group, who focuses on the retail sector, said in an interview. “So that could be a little bit of a sticker shock for some people.”

That could come as soon as January, according to economists, as holiday discounts come to a close and retailers run low on inventory they secured at pre-tariff prices. Major retailers like Kohl’s, Abercrombie, Williams-Sonoma and Under Armour have all warned of price increases starting as early as late December or January.

    SNL skit. 'Operation Kill Everyone'

"SNL" mocks Pete Hegseth and "sleeping" Donald Trump—"kill everybody"

    excerpt:

In the sketch, Jost is asked by a reporter whether he truly gave the order to kill the two survivors of a U.S. military strike on September 2—an allegation that sparked outrage this week.

“First of all, that kind of cruel, heartless act has no place in ‘Operation Kill Everybody,’” Jost said. “Second, I wasn’t even in the room when it happened, OK? I was so jacked up after the first strike, I had to make an emergency call to my sponsor—sorry, a guy I met at an anonymous meeting.”

Donald Trump is a carnival barker. Plus, he is a puppet like every other president has been (Bush, Clinton, Obama.... ALL OF THEM). He runs nothing and does nothing, but the powers that be need him where he is because of the emotions he instills in people on both sides of the mind controlled left vs right paradigm. If you still subscribe to the left vs. right narrative after all these years, you are a fucking idiot and deserve what is coming. One thing left wingers and right wingers have in common is low intelligence and the fact they are mind controlled morons who believe everything they see on the television or social media.

He finishes off a beer at the start. He's known for his drinking problem.

People on the web refer to him as Kegsbreath.

A federal judge dismissed the indictments of Comey and James because it deemed Halligan wasn't legally appointed.

Trump is now trying to indict them again (Comey for perjury and James for mortgage fraud).

Federal prosecutors have failed to convince a grand jury to indict Letitia James again.

Various excuses given by Hegseth and others around him about the second strike that killed two survivors in the water:

    1. Hegseth initially said the news story was “fabricated, inflammatory and derogatory.” (The White House and Hegseth later admitted it happened).

    2. Hegseth said he had stepped out of the room after the first strike and didn't see the second strike.

    3. The admiral did it.

    4. It was the fog of war. It implies the initial strike left fog in the vicinity for 41 minutes and then the two survivors were killed with a missile because they were difficult to see in the fog of war.

    5. The excuse then became that the two survivors in the water could be seen (after the fog of war dissipated sufficiently). They were deemed to be 'still in the fight' and were waving their arms (in distress or surrender), justifying the killing of them with a missile.

The Supreme Court weighs another step in favor of broad presidential power sought by Trump
Chief Justice John Roberts has led the Supreme Court’s conservative majority on a steady march of increasing the power of the presidency

The Supreme Court weighs another step in favor of broad presidential power sought by Trump

    excerpt:

"They already have allowed Trump, in the opening months of the Republican's second term, to fire almost everyone he has wanted, despite the court's 1935 decision in Humphrey's Executor that prohibits the president from removing the heads of independent agencies without cause."

    https://www.npr.org/2025/12/03/nx-s1-5630519/signalgate-pete-hegseth-inspector-general-report

    excerpt:

"Over the course of the investigation, the report states, Hegseth only provided a few of his Signal messages to the inspector general. As a result, Stebbins was forced to rely mostly on screenshots of the chat from the Atlantic, according to the source.

One member of the Armed Services committee, Arizona Democrat Mark Kelly, responded to the report by saying "it's pretty clear he shouldn't have been using his cell phone and an unsecure app, unofficial app with regards to DOD, to be sharing that kind of information."

"It's not too hard to see how our adversaries can get that information and pass it on, to the Houthies in this case, and put those lives at risk," Kelly said."

That's quite a claim and interestingly you make no attempt to back it up, but you enjoy acting as if you are somehow above everyone else's intelligence. You're basically saying that anyone who votes is an idiot. You also claim something is "coming", but of course you don't say what (in case someone tries to hold you to account). Typical!

Trump is in charge. Throughout the last few decades conspiracy theorist types liked to imply that the president is a puppet and see the shocked look it put on people's faces. But now that Trump has come to power, we've finally seen that that's not true. We saw him let Musk do whatever he wanted and hurt the country (educate yourself on the details), we see him bombing fishing boats of Venezuela, we saw him bomb Iran, we saw him introduce tariffs which hurt the U.S consumer badly. He is a mafia boss for the time being, he can do what he likes for the time being. There's no checks and balances anywhere, US businesses are moving abroad, soy farmers are asking for bail-outs.

All that doesn't sound like a master plan someone else is pulling. And if it were, are you capable of explaining why? Hmmm... go away and smoke your weed you dirty attention seeking rat.

    Left : Roosevelt Right: Trump.

Oh yes----there's been a difference.Even if much of it is for the entertainment of "those who rule."

    Either you know--or YOU DON'T.

There's a reason the rat hasn't been around for a while. :tonguewink:

Trump floats idea of rescinding more of his tariffs on more items, the tariffs that according to him are money straight from foreign countries into the U.S.

Trump tariffs live updates: Trump floats 'some' additional tariff carveouts; US unveils $12B farmer bailout

    excerpt:

"The farm bailout comes amid an increased push on Americans' price concerns. In an interview published Tuesday, Trump allowed he may look for "some" additional carveouts, weeks after his administration slashed tariffs on items like beef, coffee, and bananas."

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/08/business/trump-threatens-mexico-with-even-higher-tariffs

    excerpt:

"But it’s not clear how much the tariffs will matter, if they’re imposed at all. The vast majority of Mexican goods are currently exempt from Trump’s tariffs, provided they comply with the overriding US-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement.

But that agreement is set to undergo a review in July, and the Trump administration has signaled its willingness to let the free trade agreement expire."

Trump caught on hot mic blasting Republicans.

Donald Trump caught on hot mic tearing into Republicans

    excerpt:

President Donald Trump has been caught on a hot mic blasting Republicans over the blocks on his U.S attorney appointments.

In a widely shared video posted on X, the president can be heard speaking as members of the press are leaving a room.

“You know, I can’t appoint anybody,” Trump said. “I can’t appoint anybody. Everybody I’ve appointed, their time has expired. Then they’re in default, then we’re losing.”

It comes after Trump’s former personal lawyer, Alina Habba, announced Monday she is resigning as the U.S. attorney for New Jersey, ending her effort to remain in the post after a federal appeals court ruled she had been serving unlawfully.

The water wars between U.S. and Mexico.

Trump threatens to impose extra 5% import tariff on Mexico for not giving more water to U.S.

Trump slaps Mexico with 5 percent tariff over violations of water treaty

    excerpt:

"Under the terms of the treaty, each year, the US must allow Mexico to receive 1.5 million acre-feet of water, or 1.85 billion cubic metres, from waterways streaming south.

In return, Mexico lets at least 350,000 acre-feet, or 431 million cubic metres, flow northward to the US.

But years of drought have left Mexico in crisis. According to a 2024 report from the North American Drought Monitor, an intergovernmental agency, more than 75 percent of Mexico is experiencing “moderate to exceptional” drought levels."
