New Currently Listening To...

If you have not heard of him, allow me to introduce you to an interesting guitarist & singer-songwriter named Mdou Moctar. He is from Niger, of Tuareg ethnicity. His music is loud electric guitar psychedelia I suppose, but the song structures are based on Tuareg music. The band is 4-piece, a rhythm guitarist, drummer and bass player, the latter being a white boy from NYC. Mdou says some radical stuff in his songs, which are mostly in Tamasheq but to some extent in French. "Afrique victime, de tantes crimes..."

Forget Jefferson Airplane's original "White Rabbit" if you listen to this fannntastic blues jam cover. Although about halfway through he does a fine job of channeling Grace Slick.

 

Maybe you should have included a note that it's synthetic content (AI generated) but still that construction sounds super sweet!! This is the only kind of thing about AI that I like.

And youtube said last year that they would not allow AI content on their site, so they really should have a way to indicate a lot more clearly that that music was AI generated.

 

Well dang. That's strike two for me today.

I had not a single clue that AI could do something like that. It's scary as hell in fact.
