Not only did I buy this Donovan album in my youth, I also dried some banana peels and smoked them...

Nothing happened from the banana...

(someone told me I had to smoke a whole bunch of it...)

 

I had this album on cassette tape. My room mate in college had a real nice stereo system which he never used. I don't even know what kind of music he listened to. I, however, often played this Blue Cheer album at full blast and you could easily hear it in the dorm parking lot about a 100 yards away.

Blue Cheer's manager was a Hell's Angel, and a reporter once asked him to describe Blue Cheer's music. He answered, "They change the air into cottage cheese."

I swear this first album was their 'Acid Koolaid Test.' They were named after a brand of Owsley's acid.

 

Most of Duanne Eddy's hits were in the 50s, but I think this next one was 60s. He was a huge star at one time.

 

That's a great Blue Cheer song!!!
